I'm fairly certain this is a result of the Lenovo "Reply All" data debacle but I received this email last night, from JVBargain at gmail no less!

    Unlike Ozbargain, Affiliate links and referral codes are allowed!

    No thanks. Quickest way to create a crapshow site as everyone starts spamming their own affiliate links. Not allowing that is one of the best fundamental decisions here.

      A better decision would be to stop new users from creating new threads for a question that has been answered by 1000 other threads and never coming back to reply or comment on anything else.

      But Ozb won't because Scotty loves his ads too much
