    $1.00 a beer I'll jump

    • Then this ain't for you. Doubt you can find any decent selection of craft beers for $1…

Sorry I buy my go to Great Northern Super Crisp @ 25% SB at that. Yet to find a Craft better! and i've lived in Westvleteren for days

        • +8

Lol Great Northern is so far from "Craft Beer", but it's definitely good that you've found something you enjoy! :)

        • I think just buying bottled water would have been even cheaper?

I get that it's an advent calendar, but at $145/ctn I'm kinda interested to know what's in the box…

    • +1

Yeah, was going to say the same. I ended up buying a Boozebud one for $145 delivered and it was delivered weeks ago. I get they are small and independent, but not sure how it'd stack up.

While we don't give away the exact beer, we have made the breweries and styles list available here: https://www.yeahthebeers.com/blog/2022-spoiler-alert

Theres no way this is on ozbargain at around $6 a beer on special

  • +2

    Yeah nah…

Have you got a list of what beers were in last years advent?

    • +1

Last year was our debut year (born out of COVID lockdown), and featured only Sydney breweries. You can check out the line-up here: https://www.yeahthebeers.com/blog/2021-advent-calendar-recap

This year we've gone national. Breweries and styles for this year are here: https://www.yeahthebeers.com/blog/2022-spoiler-alert

      • Some good picks last year. My only suggestion/feedback as a potential customer is try and make the final beer Christmas themed/flavoured if possible :) makes it that little bit more festive.

        • Cheers for the feedback and suggestion, mate! Appreciate it. Always such a decision deciding what goes on Christmas Day πŸ™ˆ Fingers crossed we nail it this year 🀞🏼

  • Not fair to hide what's in the box. Numerous competitors tell you.

Those advent calendars usually include some trashy variants that haven't been sold during the year. Advent calendars is a fancy way of getting rid of old or priced to clear stock. You can't get anything decent for less than $14-20 a can these days. If you love your beers, choose the styles you like and make your own advent calendar.

    • +4

      $14 - $20 per can, is that a typo?

      • +2

That's for an IPA, a decent BA stout would be $50-100 per bottle.

I guess with the volume, barrel aging and ABV, getting closer to wine and spirit territory than your water and safale no.05.

Maybe I'll try one when I have some more money!

        • Jesus… I guess there's always something for everyone. These remind me of sparkling wine with gold leaf, or diamond encrusted phone cases.

There is indeed possibly someone out there who thinks $75AUD for one 500ml bottle of beer is reasonable.

          • @tromboc: It is not, but you cannot get it otherwise unless you fly to America.

Ones like beer cartel and carwyn cellars, though, put a good amount of effort into them and have all the beers as exclusives for the advent calendars which makes them a bit more special.

      • +1

Carwyn's probably the only advent calendar that is a good value for money.

  • Had the bean Cartel one 2 years ago and loved it. Had the yeah the beer one last year and it was only crap unsold beers. Don't buy.

    • Super sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it, but appreciate the feedback! We've only been in business since October 2021, so here's hoping you give us another chance one day as we continue to grow and improve.

  • Hold until boxing day for these kinds of things.

I picked up both a wine and JW Advent calendar dirt cheap from BWS last year (reckon deal was posted on here) and still enjoyed them with family over the holiday period watching the cricket.

  • If anyone's on the fence and wanting to know a little more about what's featured in our calendar this year, we're doing daily reveals over on Insta: https://www.instagram.com/yeahthebeersofficial/

Day 1 was an absolute banger πŸ’₯πŸ™Š

  • How many standard drinks?

    • Approx. 48 standard drinks 🍻

      • $3 a standard drink, a little expensive
