@jy… Don't mind me, I love your pedantry… you wouldn't be jv if you had let this post pass without comment/correction :)

I laughed too when I saw the heading. Liter! … I know it is how this metric measurement is spelt in the USA, but really, 50 years of metrication in Oz … blame it on literacy, predictive text (I always have it switched off)…and this glaring anomaly still occurs :(

      • how this metric measurement is spelt in the USA

        Hennessy is French

        • Usa, still one of only 3 countries to not embrace metric.

      • Check if your keyboard is English (US).

If it is change it to (AU) or (UK)

    Ingredients: Water, Alcohol.

    what ????

That's right, folks. I just had three shots of Hennessy, and I don't smell. Imagine, you can walk around drunk all day. That's Hennessy, the no-smell, no-tell Cognac.

Say you got a big job interview and you’re a little nervous. Well throw back a couple of shots of Hennessy and you’ll be as loose as a goose and ready to roll in no time. And because it’s odorless, it’ll be our little secret.

  • damn thats tempting

  • its $672

    3L of Hennessy

nothing screams more Asian than that

    • +1

How the heck is a drink that originated in France profiled as Asian?

      • what about beer and aussies?

      • +5

My friend you need to go to an Asian event. It's the only spirit there and it's shotted down like it's nothing.

        • +1

My friend, are you forgetting about American rappers blurting out Hennesy in their rhymes? You’ll see DMX chugging hennesy in his videos. Heck even Tupac made a song about it.
This drink is enjoyed across different nationalities and cultures yet profile it as Asian. Smh

          • +3

@Brakus: you are taking it too far mate it's just a joke among Asians (Cambodians, Vietnamese, etc.)

          • @Brakus: And what a song that was!

          • @Brakus: It's profiled as Asian here because they're the biggest consumers of it in Australia. My Mrs is Asian and I'm not even kidding when I say that it's at every event, big or small.
Ontop of that it's always vsop or higher, never vs.
It's all about getting as smashed as possible with the least amount of alcohol and cognac is the smoothest spirit to get you there.

P.s I was pumping dmx this morning haha

            • +1

@Kassdabass: If that’s the case, invite me too in the next Asian event. I want free Hennessy

              • +1

@Brakus: come to my house next Saturday

              • @Brakus: Rock up in formal attire at Cabramatta/Canley Vale and walk up any of the upstairs function rooms/restaurants on a Saturday night. The couple is likely one of my cousins, so say I sent you on my behalf.

            • @Kassdabass: least among of alcohol would be 50% plus drink, cognac is not over 40%

    A 700ml bottle costs $70-$100

    A normal 3L bottle costs $600

So if I bought 4x700ml bottles (2.8L), I would still come out ahead.

    I don't get it.

Unless you are selling the novelty of a big ass display bottle and paying a premium for it.

    • I think part of it is indeed the novelty of a display bottle. If I have a mini bar, I would love to have one for display
