Fire sale? Or risk of fire? :-)

      • +2

Both - hot deal and risk of fire!

        • I thought it is relatively favourite/popular brand among ozb community?

          • +4

@peuwayaqdq: Popular because cheap, definitely not a favourite due to fire risk and device damage

      • HEYMIX USB C 35W GaN Charger with the fire and heat resistant material

    Code not working?

    • +1

There’s no code. Just tick the 50% off coupon and checkout

  • Oh dear, This charger has excellent reviews, 4.5 stars and not a single 1 star review, we all know what that means.
People neg voting it because it catches 🔥fire🔥!!

    • Yeah, but Ozbargainers have all these fun things to say about other chargers from the brand:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12887847/redir

You're well aware that these comments exist and almost exclusively on Heymix products. Stop shilling for this brand.

Also 90% seller rating - a little low.

      • -3

It's funny that you accuse me of shilling yet you turn up to every Heymix post within a couple of hours of its posting, neg vote it even if its highly rated,
copy and paste the exact same comments every time that not one of these people has left a review on Amazon and you know that.
You then link reviews and accusations knowing they may not be true, and you keep on doing it. May I ask what incentive do you have to spend so much of your time trying to attack such a small obscure company as Heymix? These are the attributes of someone shilling for another company BTW, not that I'm accusing you of that!!

That Heymix powerboard is well rated, yet when pulled apart by a user multiple issues were identified.

Other Heymix products have issues identified by Ozbargain users such as higher than than expected voltages on the grounding of cables and are backed by Amazon reviews - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/review/B09P6BQ9V4/R3KW2K2MC2… (verified purchase on a 4.1 rated product).

There are many issues which would not be identified simply by looking at reviews or scores. Other more reputable chargers have been torn down, analysed so we have an idea of what the brand's chargers are like.

Many comments here do correlate with verified reviews on Amazon.

There is more than enough evidence to suggest potentially dangerous issues.

There's issues such as allegedly reusing SAA cert numbers though I haven't looked at that.

May I ask what incentive do you have to spend so much of your time trying to attack such a small obscure company as Heymix?

Someone has to balance out the blindly positive comments and warn users of the potential risks.

I'm also not a fan of some of the low quality junk that is peddled on this site. Heymix crosses another line by being dangerous based on what I've seen posted(usual disclaimers around verified purchases, if true, etc).

      • Thanks for the heads up.

        What brand do you recommend?

  • The promotional code you entered is not valid.

  • +1

    Tick the 50% box

  • Seller is 90% positive, a bit low from my point of view.

  • Fake code

  • +3

coupon collected but the price is not changing at checkout

    • Same issue here, coupon not applying and I'm unable to add it manually during checkout.

      • It even shows on the product page that 50% discount will apply at checkout but not working

  • Also a 65W GaN for $33 if anyone needs a charger for a laptop and is brave.

Good way to kill a laptop in ~12mths. Ymmv.

      • +4

Killed my google Chromecast, so good luck to the downvoters.

        • People are dumb.

  • +3

Please do some homework before buying heymix.

  • How's the electrical protection on this thing?

    • SSA tick …. so have been tested to comply with australian standards ….

      • +3

They've taken the SAA certificate from one product and added it to all the others. Dodgy af.

        • How do you know?

          • +2

@djmm: Brought up all the time in previous deals. People finding the SAA numbers when looked up belong to a completely different product.

  • nice charger, I have bought that before, it can fast charge my pixel 6

    • +3

watch out. It may Char your pixel one day.

      • +1

And the house along with it 🤣

  • +2

Seen so many heymix posts here and accompanying serious negatives that I don't understand why they are not modded out and abandoned by the declining amazon .
I purchased 1 of their GaNs - lasted about 7 chargers . Never buy again especially with the exposure of fire .
    People !?

    • +2

i have have a few of their chargers …..no issues …..

      • +3

Yeah, this line is frequently repeated on Heymix deals.

The fact is that there are many ways that chargers can cut corners. Take the Heymix powerboard as an example. A user found that it was wrongly wired and likely had no surge protection(comment here). The majority of users will receive a powerboard that works fine but is lacking rarely used functionality.

Heymix chargers are a black box. There are no tear-downs of Heymix products. We don't know what the quality of the components is like or how well they are engineered. What we do have is multiple Ozbargain users with issues which almost exclusively occur with Heymix products(note: unverified purchases, etc). I would also speculate that they are reasonably low volume compared to other brands yet there are no issues posted on those products.

  • +1

Yeah nah, no heymix products for me

  • Bummed out. Missed it. 😭

  • Came to see the "fire" comments only…

  • +2

As a public service, I ordered one, will open it to inspect, and check for AC isolation, genuine GaN, …
Will see if it can charge a laptop at 35W without overheating.

    • a tear down would be an interesting post …..

  • DO NOT TRUST HAYMIX its the most popular brand with fake reviews and asking people to put good reviews for discounted or free products. Almost certainly anything they sell like for instance 60w cigrate charger turns out to be a 24w charger in actuality, its misleading selling older products in newly branded designs with fake writing.

  • Bought this from HEYMAX : https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09FB4LZLM?m=A2G7ORU8CKX823

Although claiming PD - PPS , it has never charged my s22 Ultra with full speed.
Ramps up to around 30W and then crashes, restarts and settles on 15W max.

Whats an actual good quality charger that can do PD PPS and is 65 to 100W?
