Whole heap of Advent calendars on clearance at Big W. As usual may not be at your nearest store. May not be at the clearance price at your local.

I did see the Star Wars: The Galactic Advent Calendar on Amazon for $15 too. I imagine there are probably others that are being price matched.

Doesn't look like any lego in this one though, just:

More than 30 surprises: From greeting cards to paper ornaments, buttons, booklets, and more, Star Wars: The Galactic Advent Calendar is bound to excite fans with adorable souvenirs and holiday-themed keepsakes spread out over the course of 25 days.

The Amazon page actually has a few pictures of what is inside.

Lol… That star wars calendar says it's from 2021.

    • It's an advent calendar.

I know. But it survived on the shelf long enough to go full price and get discounted twice.

        • It's Star Wars… The whole franchise has survived / been revived so many times now!

          • @Snoop: Maybe they put it Solo in the freezer each year and defrost the carbonite for Christmas.

Probably doesn't matter what year it is. As long as it has the numbers for you to follow along. If you are buying now, even the numbers probably don't matter a whole lot. Should be some OK ones that have enough activities to keep you or your kids happy.

When you think the Lego one is $50, this one should have been $15 from the beginning

Maybe. I just had to pick one to put in the title. It also happened to be on Amazon so you could compare/see what was inside.

    • I wa hoping it would come with actual Lego pieces. That would’ve been so cool xd

      • Sadly without that in the product title or description i think your chances are low.

  • Looks like not worth $15

    • We'll go into our local Big W tomorrow and see what they have. Not sure how they came up with their RRP for the majority of these but at $15 and under I'm pretty sure we can come away with something worthwhile.

    lol this review on amazon-
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Star-Wars-Surprises-Countdown-Chri…

"What a rip off! So upset I bought this! I could have bought another present instead of this. It reminds me of a 70's cheap toy. So far my husband has had a few tiny gift tags, a paper clip, a paper coaster type thing?, a bit of card/book mark?
I'm so embarrassed I bought it and apologise every day when he opens it. I might even have to resort to giving him 'sexy time' as an apology. That's three times this month! Not happy!"

      Best review ever!

This is probably for children, not husbands.

    • Best (profanity) Amazon review I have seen.

Either all companies went overboard on making advent's this year, or the economy is starting to reduce pointless spending, but every advent calendar is overstocked and on clearance. I picked up the actual LEGO advent one's, friends, city, starwars, harry potter from costco for $20 each.

    • Or consumers can’t find value in a $50 advent calendar - that’s crazy. (Guess I’d throw this under your economy reasoning haha)

    • Damn, notice it was $28 at bigw at some point, hence need to price protect. Had no idea it was a low as $20. Was is advertised here?

      • Nope, saw it on some facebook lego group. But it's at every costco. When I was there yesterday, they had heaps of every variant, but the star wars one was going faster than the others.
