Electric Car for My Kids for Xmas

Want to buy my kids (ages 7 and 4) an electric vehicle to ride around our property for Xmas. Lucky enough to have a large-ish block but parts have some loose sand which I’m concerned would just bog the cheaper ones for sale.

Stuck between wanting something powerful enough too to get around on loose sand, but that has controls in place to stop them from going to fast.

Anyone have any recommendations I’d love to hear them

Tesla is the only ozbargain worthy electric car*

*So I've been led to believe

Rather not get them one that’s prone to catching fire…

LoL…my god you want an electric car but yet you think Teslas are 'prone' to catching fire…people on this forum defy belief…

Maybe have an actual look into the data instead of believing braindead nutters…ICE (internal combustion engine aka cars with an engine) are much more 'prone' to catching fire…

Yes, I was seriously considering a Tesla for my 7&4 yo Kids to drive…

@Azrael169: My response was in response to your response…nothing to do with what you're getting your children.

Maybe best to stick to ICE cars, just to be on the safe side…in your mind at least LoL

        • And yet the battery only last ten years and ends up in landfill. Really nice for the environment too 🤣🤣

@Raulioli8810: I think you should also stick to your sh*tbox ICE car too…that's definitely better for the environment 🤣🤣

You're playing with fire by messing with the musk fanbois. Everyone knows when something goes wrong with a Tesla it was something the user did. Tesla says so every time.

        • Musk is a massive (profanity) but I still love my Tesla. Same could be said about so many CEOs of other companies.

  • Wait 3 1/2 years for the new Apple Car. It's seed will probably be throttled liek the USB-C ports on the 10th Gen iPads.

If you can't wait, have a look at this guide

The Ioniq is pretty good and I'm sure your kids would appreciate it. Bit of a wait list though. Might get it in time for Xmas next year.

    Cupra…

They're not as prone to catching fire as Tesla.

    • I recharge my escooter inside my Tesla. Am I doubling my risk?

      • +1

Only if you are recharging your Samsung phone on your escooter whilst it is charging inside your Tesla.

        • I ditched the samsung when the battery expanded.

          • @Clear: Why on earth would you do that? Bulging batteries hold more power!

        • And soon to be Apple
          ;)

  • I read that you should get 12v minimum, the 6v ones are close to useless.

    • Where did you read that?

    • seen some 24v ones locally, might have to go check it out

    • I ran 6v ones with ozito 18v batt no issues, simple mod as well.

  • If your kids are just going to ride around our property, you obviously need a Cyber Truck.

    • If your kids are just going to ride around our property,

Why would their kids ride around on your property?

      • +1

Free Cyber Truck when they leave.

      • Would you want them riding around at your property JV ?

  • You can get kiddies electric cars (https://www.catch.com.au/product/kids-ride-on-car-truck-with…) with blue-tooth over-ride on you phone to take control if necessary.

Electric Car for My Kids for Xmas

    Sounds like a fair trade.

  • Highly recommend electric unicycle with suspension. Got a bit of learning curve but great for uneven terrain, jumps, tricks etc.
