      • Well, I couldnt not buy it. Thanks Whoopie, that is such an awesome price for these. I still cant believe they are so cheap, and its hard to convince myself its not a scam, or that theyre not just going to send one. Delivery alone on 100kg of subs must cost a fortune. Oh well, paid by paypal, hopefully ill have 2 subs early next year :)

Looks like the deal is Australia wide. Don’t see why you’d have an issue getting them

          • @Whoopie: I think its just because normally deals this good turn out to be price errors and i end up missing out :)

    • It says it in title but doesn't apply BOGOF when you go to cart. Guessing they'll update their price to 5200 then activate promo?

      • well i just bought them and it says BOGOF in my cart and on my receipt and i asked for confirmation in my checkout comment, so i better be getting 2..

        • +1

Did you do quantity 2? It comes up with 9.3k for me

EDIT: Guessing you just ordered one and assume they'll honour based on title?

          • +1

@snoopydoop: yeh thats what Im hoping. I did what u did at first and added 2 to my cart and got the same total. Fingers crossed its all legit and not an error, because id hate to have to deal with it if im only sent one

            • +1

@DanielP2: I think clarifying in your order notes was a good idea. If you wanna be extra sure you could always give them a buzz tomorrow too.

Love to hear how you go!

              • @snoopydoop: yeh thats a good idea, could potentially save a lot of stuffing around. Will post on here when i have an update

              • @snoopydoop: My order was cancelled due to no stock

                • @DanielP2: lol yeh right.
they are still selling it, just not 2 for 1.
It appears to me that they planned on doing a 2for1 deal (as we saw it written there on the page), but they messed up the pricing, so then they blame it on no stock.

                • @DanielP2: Yeah sounds like bohn is onto it, the title has changed now. Guessing this 2 for 1 thing might come out at other retailers soon at the higher price point.

Oh well, was worth a shot!

    • Where does that say it's for two?

    • i cant see the 2 for $4679 offer? its only 1?

      • +2

They changed it. I saw the clef page last night, it definitely said buy one get one free.

    • Seems it's no longer for 2?

    Thanks OP

Holy crap what a rip off , I built my own that are flat to 15hz and -3db around 10 - 12hz for 1/10 the price.

    • nice.
want to build me some? ;)
I hear DIY is the way to go but not sure it's for me.

  • Was tempted at the Clef Hifi price but didn't pull the trigger. If there are any stores that bring this deal up at their price please let me know. Nice one by Clef Hifi at 4679 for both. Thank you

    • They had to cancel orders

  • Just out of interest, in a home theatre set up is there a meaningful difference between a single sub vs dual sub?

    • +1

Yes, but how much depends on your room.

    • +1

Yes, with 2 to 4 subwoofers if tuned correctly you can help even out the bass response across the frequency range and also across all seats in the room, also helps with taking out an nulls in the room at certain frequencies

  • Damn, I knew once it got posted up here, it would be gone.

  • Well the whole point of my post is DIY is so much cheaper , if you pay someone to build it for you then you loose most of the benefits of DIY as it is quite time consuming.

Unless you are willing to get your hands dirty I wouldn't bother , If I can build one anyone can , just go look here for ideas https://www.avsforum.com/forums/diy-speakers-and-subs.155/
