Karate Kid (2010) on Blu-Ray for $5.50 & Final Destination Quadrilogy for $15.50 - Inc. Delivery

80

This is the remake and not the original movie. Price is £3.45GBP and includes free delivery as thehut are currently offering free international delivery. I checked my bank account and it came in at $5.43AU. Currently listed on the JB Hi Fi wesbite for $17.99.

Also all 4 Final Destination movies on blu-ray for approx $15.50AU (£9.95GBP). I passed on this but it's great value for anybody who enjoyed these movies - approx $4.00AU per movie.

I hated this version of Karate Kid personally. Terrible acting. Even Jackie Chan couldn't save it.

So i finally got around to seeing karate kid, and was pleased to see it was a story all about how jaden smiths life got flipped turned upside down you see. he was chilling out maxin relaxing all cool shooting some b-ball outside of his school when a couple of guys (who were up to no good) started making trouble in his neighbourhood. he got in one little fight and his mom got scared and said "your going to learn karate from the maintenance man downstairs."

Hey, you've just plagiarised the theme song from the upcoming new recycled 90's reboot of another original remake show, Fresh Prince of Beijing! ;)

    karate kid = no
    final destination = okay

    • r u kiddin? where you can find step by step instruction on how to catch a fly with chopsticks back in the 90's? lol

      • Yes, but this is a remake. Why on Earth would you remake such a perfect piece of cinema?

        "Wax on, wax off".

  • How could you remake Karate Kid? The original movie was amazing (to 14 year old me). And if you follow it by watching Leaving Las Vegas you get some real character confusion about Ralph Macchio's girlfriend.

Thanks. I really liked the new one. Different enough to stand on its own

    • Yeah, I thought so too.

I was all set to hate it, but there were just the right number of subtle homages to honour the original without being too cheezy & Li'l Smitty was just likeable enough to make it enjoyable. Plus, it's got Jackie Chan! :)
