      Dad?

        Nahh its just jv

  • Do Good Guys price match and can you still use the discount code?

After Sonos five at a good price.

  • Can't view product page when cashrewards is active. Is that normal?

  • +5

I remember buying Sonos PLAY:5 Gen 2 speaker from this Catch deal back in 2018 for $500 delivered. I always regretted for not buying 2. Absolutely amazing speaker.

  • Is there any on ceiling speakers that don't need a amp and have wifi? Can't seem to find much info thanks on advance

    • No it's an electrical code thing.

  • +2

Solid effort with the post OP, with links and VP comparisons etc. nice work

And if going TGG, you might be able to stack with 10-15% off ultimate gift cards (if got the non-eftpos version that can be used online, though not sure if limited to using one in the payment system?) from eg this current deal

For those after something like Sonos but flexible about the brand name, check out ikea symfonisk. It’s made by sonos but lacks the mic (no Alexa) and uses the sonos app as well

    • +1

I paired the ikea ones as rear speakers with the arc. Someone on YouTube said internals are the same as the sono one. Sounds pretty good. Now just need the sub.

    • +2

Sadly the price isn't too different now. One SL $245 (with 15% off) vs $199 for the Symphonisk speaker, the quality difference in the shell is obvious.

      • +2

Yep. Before they were 149 and could make a case for them because they were so easy to mount and worked as a small shelf. Now it's better to go the proper Sonos unless you want the lamp or picture frame that they offer.

  • Would TGG price match VideoPro? If so would save on the VP Delivery cost.

  • So bummed i missed the last beam deal at $529 plus store cash. Got greedy trying to apply further code.

  • This seems to be the cheapest the Roam has been in a while, but is it still worth it? I have the Beam Gen 2 on the TV, but still in doubt over the sound, if I should have gone for the Bose.

    • I was just about to pull the trigger for Bose 700/900 during Black Friday. But just thought of getting demo then purchase.

So went to Jb hifi post BF. I was literally blown away by how good Sonos Beam/Ray performed without sub compared to Bose 900 bar. When included Sub, was just beautiful. I had made the choice made there - Sonos. Now just waiting for Boxing Day.

      • Hrm, interesting to hear - thanks for sharing! I did listen to them both in store, but there's no room to stand back and really hear them properly. I thought the Bose sounded a bit crisper in store, and have found the Sonos to be a bit 'muddy' at home, needing to tune the bass down. I'm preferencing clear, crisp sound (vocals) at a lower volume than big rumbling environment. It was the Sonos ecosystem that swayed me ultimately, but have just had that doubt about the soundstage.

      • What's your opinion on Beam vs Ray?
I can't decide between these two for a small TV.

        • +1

I think you mean for Small Room or supplementary/secondary room tv? Go for Ray. However if this is your main TV, would suggest Beam. It’s worth the price considering more bass/amp/theatre support and options to expand.

Any case, do go to JB HiFi and feel it for yourself. The decision would be tremendously easier for u. Good luck.

  • Don't forget the 3% + 10% bonus Cashback (capped at $50) when you pay with your eligible Westpac card via Shopback.

  • I got the sonos one sl for $225 during black friday sales. Not sure if some others here are a bit higher

  • Now for some GG cashback deal ftw.

Got a Sonos Beam Gen 2 from JB at $417sh yesterday. Price match VideoPro at $545. Applied 10% one day offer $490.5. Then used 10 X $50 Ultimate Gift Cards (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/742819) for in-store payment without any issue.

Originally stepped in to buy Bose TV Speaker for $319. :)

      This is the way.

I did same thing for Sonos Five, price matched with VideoPro and used the 10% code at JB HiFi. I have still not opened it, just in case TGG also price matches with Video Pro and if you can use the 15% code on top.

      • That would be awesome! lolz

        • Yup, that would be.

I really don't need the arc but very tempted to try the price match with video pro and get additional 15% discount on top, it would bring down the price to $1012 and further discounts by paying via GiftCards (Bupa eRewards 5% off TGG gift cards, Macquarie Bank 3% off TGG gift cards, Cashrewards 6% cash back).

    • this is amazing. I thought they don't price match PLUS apply the 10% discount…well that's what they told me over the phone.
What JB store did you visit?

      • Queen Street, CBD

        • you are very lucky!

I went to 2 local GG stores last night and they both said you can either get the 15% off the marked price OR the price match…not both :(

          • @raymen709: Mate, I went to JB! I believe so did bluehalk.

            • +2

              @Saysomethingsoothing: Yup, went to JB.

You can still do the price match and get 10% off at JB. Best to do it via live chat and ask for price match and nothing more, once you get the direct link for the product with price match price, just go through normal check out process and add the 10% code to get the additional 10% off on the price and do click and collect. You don't even have to go to any store.

That is what I did the first time via live chat, but didn't purchase it at that time as I was still on a fence, and later in the day VideoPro came out with even more discounted price and by that time the live chat was closed, so I walked in the store and just asked for price match and didn't mention anything about the 10% discount, and once I got the paper to pay at the counter, I just asked the lady at the counter for the 10% discount and she scanned the code and that's it.

I just tested again online and the 10% code still applied. Unfortunately though Video Pro have reverted their discounted price and is slightly expensive than what it was, still a decent saving.

@bluehalk: Thank you so much @bluehalk for letting me know about this.
On the weekend I price matched the Sonos sub mini at JB with Selby ($634) in store, then at the counter the person scanned the 10% off Wicked Wednesday code, bringing it down to $570.
Used 5 x $100 Ultimate gift cards which were purchased 10% off.
Total purchase price coming to $520…very happy with that!

  • Todays best buy is Bose TV Speaker at GG. Apply AUDIO for 15% offer = $271.15

Use Ultimate Gift Cards (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/742819) for payment. Also, collect Storecash $20

    So, Bose TV Speaker would cost around $230.5 -$20 = $210.5sh :)

Read that Sonos Beam Gen 2 is better than Bose TV Speaker but this is half the price :)

    • Do you know if I can use Ultimate Gift Cards + Concierge Credit on a single purchase?

  • Bought Sonos ages ago and thought it was meh, then recently bought the Sonos SL and was surprised how good the sound quality is, esp when linked as stereo pairs. Their app ecosystem is also pretty nice.

  • Disappointing that JBL speakers are not included in 15% off sale, would have been great price.
