Came across these desk mats when cleaning out my Amazon watchlist and they are both the cheapest price to date and the cheapest I could find for this type of mouse pad. I already have purchased a different type of mouse pad (I needed black color), so cannot comment on the useability. Would suit someone looking for a felt material pad.

    Had one and returned it, the quality was horrid! Have a look at the 1 star reviews, mine did that with the felt breaking apart and bunching up.

    It was ok at the start but aged very poorly for me. On its defence, felt being felt idk if the more “high end” ones would’ve done any better

    For the price it's ok I got it for $16 not long ago so usually always on special. It feels not as smooth but it's supposed to be more that way I guess

    I've got one of these, not too bad but takes ages to get it to lay flat after you unroll it.
    Feels good under the mouse though and I haven't experienced the issue with the felt wearing out / balling up but given the material I can totally see that happening eventually, especially if you drag your keyboard around it

    thought people, would gong with those neoprene / wetsuit material desk mats …very smooth and long wearing.

      Was gonna say the same thing — don't get anything made of felt, it's gonna fall apart quickly. The neoprene-style materials used for most mousepads is far better.

      No idea why people upvote this kind of stuff, where's the appeal in it?

    I had same mat on my watch list. Ended up getting this one. Could have been thicker but I’m happy with it and purchased another for work. Comes packaged in a tube

    I don't think I'd ever go for felt, Ive had two of these Gallaway ones for years, black / brown, for two desks and they give you a much more "sophisticated" feel like a real adult

    Thank you. I always wanted something new to cover surface of my worn out desk. Was just at mitre 10 the other day asking around lol. Was worried a thin plywood or glass piece will cost too much for me and how to get it to my place.

    Not sure one will cover most of my desk. Think I will try out a few of the suggestions here and give feedback.

    Similar experience, aged badly, the felt getting threadbare, and coming off in clumps, the softness make writing on it difficult too.

    Utter garbage product. Stay away. Thing curls up and there is no rubber on the underside so keyboard just shifts - especially bad on a laminate surface like an Ikea benchtop. Seriously bad. Suggest a neoprene or pu leather

    I bought it with the intention of cutting it smaller and taking it into the office. That never happened. I think I did have it unrolled for a bit, but I've never actually used it, so can't talk about how it wears, and yeah, it wasn't to the quality of my Deltahub felt mats, but then it was like quarter of the price, so I was willing to accept it as it was. And it seemed okay out of the box, or paper bag, or however it came.

    Next year I really need to take it into the office ha.
