What Mobile Apps Have Saved You $$$ This Year?

Salutations OzBargainers, as we prepare to bid farewell to the year 2022, I thought we could do a tally of apps that saved us money this year. It could be an app that gave you cashback or provided discount promo codes or notified you of new deals and freebies, the list goes on.

I will go first. I saved quite a bit of moolah this year with the following apps:

  1. OzBargain- O fcourse
  2. Shopback
  3. Liven
  4. Cashrewards

As they say, a dollar saved is a dollar earned.

Please feel free to share your favourite apps. Cheers.

    Amazon.

Valid ethical concerns aside, it's saved us all tons of money and most convenient next-day or two-day deliveries throughout the year.

Coupled with AusPost's locker service and app that tracks your deliveries and opens the magical locker doors to your precious packages to pickup anytime you want 24/7.

Certainly been helpful with xmas shopping, having quick delivery to work. Only had to deal with the shops once or twice

As they say, a dollar saved is a dollar earned.

Best not to say that around the ATO.

    • Or FuelMap?

      petrol spy

Agree 100%, saves me more than any other app.

    • Is there a similar one for Vic?

      • It is in Victoria as well.

      • I'm in Vic and I use Petrol Spy in my regional town. It's pretty accurate except one servo that stays open later than the competition across the road bumps their prices up after such time and it isn't updated in the app.

Can only guess that other users report the fuel prices??

Yeah depending where you live it either gets live feed data, or is reliant on people submitting updates manually

I use the Frugl app to compare prices in Coles and Woolies. I have both in my local mall so it's easy to save $$$. There are a few other apps such as Smartcart and Wiselist that do a similar job.

Wikicamps. I've been on the road for 2 years in January and I use it all the time to find free and low cost campgrounds. I'm not sure how I would get by without it. It would have saved me thousands over the past 2 years.

    7/11 and a helicopter.

  • 7-11 fuel lock app and gps spoofing software. Been doing it for myself and rest of my family for the past couple of years, really saving lots of money in recent times when petrol prices rocketed,

    Spending money ≠ saving money

    Liven

Maybe I’ve been playing too much tennis this year, but what is Liven and why haven’t I seen any deals for it?

a dollar saved is a dollar earned.

a dollar saved is two dollars earned.

  • Half Price app shows half price weekly specials at Woolworths and Coles.

    • +1

No, half priced products are mostly unhealthy things. Or you only save 15% actually on them when compare with the closest everyday price product.

  • Cash Rewards
    Petrol Spy
