  PSA, Vertuo machines use proprietary pods - AFAIK you can only get these from Nespresso, generic pods aren't available as the machine uses a barcode reader to detect the pod, through a patented system.

      You can actually buy an adapter on amazon to use original pods in the Vertuo machine.

    This is correct - they will freely tell you this at the Nespresso store.
    At the moment, you cannot buy these pods at the supermarket - you can only buy from Nespresso.

    They've brought out silicon lids so you can reuse the capsules for the Vertuo and Vertuo Next machines now, so not all too bad if you can get a good bargain like the Deloghni deal.

  these $80 from costco on a previous deal delivered so this isnt a bargain, i bought one and now regret it as the the pods are bar coded so your forced to use the bar coded pods only which sucks…now its a paper weight as far as im concerned. Also on another note the coffee is quite weak from those capsules so its very disappointing.

  Pretty good deal for this machine IMO. PODS are roughly around $1 each depending on which ones you buy. Pretty good coffee. I previously had an Aldi coffee machine.
