The Iki Island DLC is only available in the Directors Cut Edition. I just paid the $15 to upgrade the PS4 version to Directors Cut - miss out on the exclusive PS5 features but still runs at 60fps
As stated by Darkscythe I dont think the Iki Island DLC has been free at all and its worth the extra by itself. You might be thinking of the avatars and dynamic themes they had free at some point perhaps.

I would recommend that too. Most people only play a game once or twice, so if they're not interested in having a disc version. Not sure if the sale is still going on but PS store had $40 off yearly subscription. Has hundreds of new and old games included. Including some of the biggest titles released like Spidermans, Death Stranding, Returnal, all the Assassins Creeds, list goes on and on. At least 80% of the games i wanted to play were included in the Deluxe package for $115, or $95 for the Extra for a year. They also tell you at least a month in advance if a game is going to be deleted from the list
Had the ps4 version on my ps5. It upgraded to ps5 version free with updated graphics.
For some reason it's reverted to the ps4 version now with lowly graphics. Why is this? Is it cause the directors cut is out? It says i need to pay to update it to ps5 version now
The ps5 version was never free. They just updated the ps4 one to run at 60fps on ps5. As to whether they took that away once the director’s cut came out, I would hope not.
I swear it looked better and had higher res textures. Anyway it's changed from "ps5" version on my ps5 to ps4 strangely
It never had upgraded visuals, just the fps boost on PS5 (running the PS4 version). Apparently the upgrade in resolution is not huge when you get the native PS5 version. Perhaps you had it on a framerate option when you played it on PS4 (Pro only?). I have the PS4 version running on PS5 as well. I'll upgrade at some point but not playing right now and waiting for prices to eventually fall more.

Seems like the biggest difference is the locked 60fps vs 30fps and a slight resolution boost which tbh isn't very noticeable.

Its a little difficult to nail down but it seems the dlc is free with the base game, so aside from some in game items this isn't much different to the base game which was 20.95 on Amazon last month.
I've been having a lot of fun with this game, can recommend
