Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 DDR5 RAM $299 + Delivery (RRP $469) @ PC Case Gear

520

AMD has called DDR5 6000MHz C30 to be the "sweet-spot" for AMD DDR5 RAM. According to the B650M AORUS PRO AX QVL list, this RAM is indeed Hynix M-Die (the 2nd best for overclocking behind Hynix A-Die).

https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/ddr5-6000-memory-is-the-sw…

This is also backed by the fact that all reviewers were given the same 6000MHz C30 RAM sticks.

So, I guess if you're looking for the DDR5 RAM sticks to keep for the foreseeable future at a reasonable price, this is it. Could also probably OC to 6400+ MHz easily if that's your style.

This is the cheapest 6000MHz sticks around based off my research, it even has CL30, which is significantly better than anything remotely near this price, usually around the CL36-40 range.

BTW, Hynix A is the best

    • Updated

  • I think Hynix A-die is the new overclocking king?

    • -1

Hynix a is, but Goodluck finding a kit based on what I've heard

      • What? A-die is everywhere.

  • It's not on the QVL list for the Asus Z790-F. Reckon I can trust it?

    • +1

QVL lists are such a joke. Everything should perform to spec and therefore everything should work. In the same way every other component is required to. If the ram fits the slot, then we should not have to worry about ram compatibility.

    • Im running 6400mhz C32 ram in a $300 Asus Strix B660-G with my 13700k which QVL only goes up to 6000mhz so i think your newer $800 Strix Z790-F board will work just fine haha

      Those lists are never accurate.

  • That's a good price. Couple of weeks ago paid ~$450 for similar 6400 C32 Hynix M (Kingston KF564C32RSAK2-32)

    • Paid 210 shipped for 2x16gb cl36 6000

  • I bought the 5600mhz and can confirm works fine for me on 13600kf and msi z690 tomahawk. RGB looks really nice on default too, good lighting coverage. Can someone confirm, can I just copy the timings and specs of the 6000 kit on my 5600 kit considering I confirmed mine is Hynix m?

I saw an overclocking video for ram but it was on an ASUS mono and the OC options change per mobo.

    • Might be hit or miss, this guy on Reddit has had problems OC'ing your sticks of RAM. Might be a different model but you can give it a go, worst case if it crashes, just clear CMOS.

    • Almost exact the same set up but I got the none rgb vulcan sticks. 5600 by default now running at 6000 smoothly. Very good set for oc.

  • Any good deal on 32GB DDR4?

If anyone does not mind the trouble of using Google translation, I know a way to get Hynix A for approx. 280aud incl. shipping.

It's a Chinese website https://global.jd.com/ NASDAQ listed basically a Chinese Amazon
The website is only available in Chinese language but accepts international bank cards and can ship internationally. Can be registered with Australian phone number as well.
I include some cheap DDR5- A die links below

    • $19 saving, but for harder to get a refund or warranty if anything went wrong, gives me a headache.

      • 19$ cheaper and also a better Hynix A-die as well. Also if you have been buying through taobao with agents then communication with seller is still bearable (obv still sucks)

  • Jeez how fast is progress - I remember buying 3600mhz RAM 2 years ago and now we're up to 6000mhz

    • What's the actual, in content performance difference. Like obviously 6000>3600 but how does this translate to in game or general performance?

      • Itll depend on motherboard, cpu, etc etc. Minimal compared to investing the same money in other better, usually. Like cpu or gfx card.

  • Dumb question, but can the RGB's be turned off?

    • Yes you can. This is 2022 and I dont think any manufacturer make a LED component that you can't turn off

      • How do I turn off the power LED on my motherboard?

        • Which brand and model though?

          • @Masticccc: Asus tuf h370 pro gaming wifi motherboard

            • @AwesomeAndrew: There is AURA on/off options in BIOS I believe, or stealth mode

              • @Masticccc: Yes, but there is also a power LED on the motherboard which I can't figure out how to turn off. Also I have turned off AURA using the software.

                • @AwesomeAndrew: tbh depends on your motherboard also, some of the newer motherboard of asus can turn off all lights including power completely with stealth mode. But not all, as I have a cheap asus b450m and I don't see that option in my BIOS. Probably your best bet is just paint over the power led if you don't want to see it on anytime. I think the idea of manufacturer is that power led should be on to indicate the motherboard is working so that they don't have the option to disable it?

  • Pretty good deal, I picked up the 5600mhz CL32 deal from last time for $269. Also M-die.

Haven't OC'd them very much but I can tell you I just set them to 6000mhz my bios without any other changes and it works great. Will continue to tune when I get a chance.

Hmmm which to get for a new AMD5 build?… this deal or the Kingston Fury Beast 5600 (https://www.pccasegear.com/products/59536/kingston-fury-beas…)

$30 saving would be nice and the Kingston ones are also Hynix too aren't they?

Was considering that kit as well, but it's lower frequency and latency (CL36 vs CL30). If you're looking to buy a RAM kit that'll serve you well for the next few years without feeling left out in terms of performance, I'd rather spend the extra $30 and not worry about it.

This can most likely OC to 6400+ if you ever wanted to squeeze more performance in a couple years too. There's also no guarantee that RAM kit can OC to 6000MHz CL30, which is the sweet spot for DDR5, just like 3600MHz CL18 was for DDR4.

  • One thing to note is that this Team T-Force memory kit doesn't support AMD EXPO (https://au.pcmag.com/processors/95927/what-is-amd-expo-one-c…)

  • This fine for an Intel 13600k on a Asus ROG STRIX Z690-I ?

    • +1

      Yes

      • I checked the Asus website and this model doesn't explicitly appear on the QVL list — but I can see a similar 6000mhz / SK Hynix chip but at CL 38 / 1.25v (compared to CL 30 / 1.35v) is compatible with an ASUS ROG Strix Z690-I

Should I be worried? Is there any recommended steps I can take to configure it when I'm installing it? Or should I abandon all hope..

        • QVL nowadays doesn't mean much. 99% chance It works fine

          • @Dienk: Appreciate the support! Is there any guide I can read about how to configure them?

I think the process is —
            - Flash the latest BIOS firstly so that it can support 13th Gen Intel & wider memory configs
            - Turn on PC and enter BIOS
            - Enable Intel XMP 3.0
            - If possible, validate CL 30 / 6000 MHz
            - ???
            - Profit!

Hello, I have a B650 Riptide ASRock. I check if the ddr5 are suitable but it doesn't match up. Just wondering if anyone knows if it's still good to go or no.

Should be fine, QVL just means they have spent the time putting the stick in and confirmed its working. This should be compatible at its frequency.

      • Thanks for your response.
