    Ironwolf Pro 18TB $482 each.
    x2 =5% off. $916 Total.
    Just went up in price, was $473 with 6% off for 2. Still a great price, works out to $25/TB for two drives. Or $26/TB for 1.
    Seagates top of the line NAS drive. Exos does have slightly better specs but is much louder and doesnt have as good a warranty.

    Officeworks WD Elements 12TB deal still available, arguably a better buy.

  • Has anyone done a split purchase from Amazon US - 2 orders of 2 drives? Gets around the import GST tax.

    • Yes, many times.

      • sorry, so you saying we need to pay import tax/customer duties once the HDD arrives?

        • +2

          It's only an issue on imports over $1000.

          So 2 drives per order only 👌

        • sorry, so you saying we need to pay import tax/customer duties once the HDD arrives?

          No, I’m saying you don’t have a problem if you split your orders and keep them under the $1k.

      • How do you split order on Amazon to avoid import tax?

  • How do you split order on Amazon to avoid import tax?

    If each drive is $495 then only order in groups of two drives per order.

    • Thanks dazargrt.

      I'm hunting for WD Red Pro 20TB which is >$500. So looks like buying two to get 5% discount is not an option because the lot will be over $1K. Well, unless there is an way to somehow split two HDDs into two different shipping. Hence was my question.

  • Amazon ad is little tricky, with 12 TB on the top….at the bottom it says HDD 332 HDD PRO 444 and ironwolf HDD as not available. Which one are we ordering here?
