    Welcome to OzCrystalBall…

    • Hi OzCrystalBall,

Based on the previous years' experiences, do you think there will be sales on IT items? I didn't follow boxing day sales before so I don't know what sorts of sales normally happens but I am guessing that there is an expected trend based on previous years. Hence I have raised my question here expecting some of the OzBargainers would have the knowledge and could guess if there will be sales or not.

Otherwise you are right, we don't even know if we will be still exists 5 minutes later or not…

      • Anything is possible…
… but there seems less genuine bargains lately than previously..
There seem more inflated prices on items then "SALE" bringing it back to normal price lately

      • But we didn’t expect this level computer chips shortages in years previous to previous year.

Gotta take a gamble and hope you the price you get are already at bargain level ✌️

  • You can get a 13900k for $999 from a few retailers already. You can get it a little cheaper than that from a number of eBay sellers if you use code SNSDEC

  • also AMD announcing 7xxxX3D @ CES first week of JAN? best to wait and see

    • I thought AMD released the 7xxx cards. Is this different/better version? I didn't add RTX4090 into my list as it is a different size of cost so I left it to be bought as the last item. This should affect the RTX4090 prices as well.

  • My opinion is that you are dreaming. Boxing day is for clearance sales.

The CPU that's listed was released a few weeks ago.

The specific PSU was released a few months ago.

You're best chance for in demand products is to price match and haggle.

Otherwise wait for an OzBargain deal for a site wide discount (eg. eBay, Amazon, Cashback) but deal with the headaches of artificially inflated prices.

    • only thing im hoping for in boxing day is a specific case with low demand to be at least $20 off, black friday really showed that for a lot of parts its a complete lucky dip to ever get a good deal
