    • Actually more than 8.
The 3x3 main room is normally called 6 person.
And the 3x1.8 rear room shall be cable to accommodate 4 sleeping bags.
      Taller than 1.8m? Sorry mate..

      • Actually more than 8.

I'm assuming the tent is 3-D, so I guess they could also be layered on top of each other..

        • sleeps 8, spoons 18

Keep your receipt and check it for damage when you get it home. I've gone through two under warranty already. The fact that the poles stay in place means they can easily damage the tent when folded. The fly also rubs against the poles when it's set up. You need to add tape or something to the fly to stop the abrasion.

Sharing my experience - bought this 12 months ago and returned it one week later. Absolute beast (heavy) to put up and then pack up! Unless you need a heavy duty tent as a semi permanent structure as stated otherwise I wouldn’t bother get something lighter!

    • I've had a pretty much identical Companion Exo tent for years and agree the weight, and the packed up size, could be a problem for some. Morso for fitting it in the car boot or chucking on the roof than anything else though.

I find setup very quick and easy, and pack up fine once you work out the tricks. The extension on this model makes it more fiddly, but also means its big enough for a family.

Rock solid in nasty winds and dry in rain. . Great ventilation options. Dark if you need. Very hard wearing

Mine has been well used and abused and no issues with poles rubbing through fly (contact points, if properly set up, are all double layer/reinforced) , and no damage when packed up as warned by blackmagic above. .

If you can manage the size and weight I doubt you'd find a better tent for the price.
