To share credit between Uber and Uber Eats they both need to be "on the one account". At what point I somehow had two accounts - one for Uber and for Uber Eats - unintentionally - I had created the Uber Eats account years before the Uber account and somehow the Uber account got set up separately. Uber Customer Service eventually fixed it.
I think Uber credit bought in Australia can only be sued in Australia, though the Uber / Uber Eats account can be used internationally.

Well the gift card itself has the redeemed all at once but it sits as credit in you Uber Wallet. And so you don't have to use that credit all at once. Eg if you buy the $50 gift card, you could do $25 one day and $25 another day.
