Cashback is also ineligible for Sony X Members

Really struggling to remember a time in recent YEARS where x members had any actual bargains since they canned the program.

  • I wish i have the amex $100 off deal again to buy the wh-x1000xm5 :(

I’m my experience every time I’ve asked for a price match from Sony, they have found every excuse to deny it, not to mention not replying typically for 48-72 hours even during the week.

      • Same, just experienced this issue a few days ago. Requested to price match Officeworks but apparently they only price match Harvey Norman and TGG.

        .

      • mate, thanks for the link to TGGC, i didn't know this!

for anyone looking, tggc is here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/tggc_access

Fyi it’s not listed , you call/email for quote once you signed up. But it’s a very easy process

          • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Yeah I can’t find the sony headphone on the website. Do i have to call them for this?

            • +3

@robertwt7: Shoot email to ica @thegoodguys.com.au

And outline which mob you are signing up through.

Eg I had to confirm I had signed up through rest super

They will email a quote and you just write back yes to go ahead.

I just paid through payment portal and picked up in store same day

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Dude you just unlocked so much info that I don’t know from just browsing ozb loll.

                I just did it, thankyou!!

                • @robertwt7: I believe the normal etiquette in this forum is to give the comment/post an upvote if it benefits you (in this case JW’s comment, I and no doubt several others, learnt something new today) 😉

                  • @Buy2Much: yeah i can't see the button when i'm on the phone this arvo lol, but i did upvote the comment after your reminder!

    • Following…

Also would like to know if credit in Microsoft account would be eligible for the cashback…

      .

      • I pulled the trigger and used the CR app on iPhone. Instant tracking $545 cashback 🤞

          Sony sells iPhone's now?

          .

          • @w1nthrophy: Yes yes they do 😜 I bought a Sony A7RV using the Cashrewards app on my phone. It then tracked the transaction within 4mins.

My order from September didn’t track. I had to manually claim the cashback, and it’s now overdue for approval (over 100 days without an any update)

This was my first time needing to claim cashback, so I don’t know if it's normal to wait that long… It’s been over 100 days, and I still haven’t opened my TV incase I can return it.

    • I had a similar experience and it didn’t track :(

Have you contacted their support? I had the same problem this year, contacted them after the past date and they approved it for redemption.

Did you try reaching out to @tightarse ?

I just logged onto Cashrewards, and it turns out is was approved today! (24-12-2022) I was literally just about to enquire about it after reading your comment @Buy2Much, so thanks for the comment. I don't know if that was just a coincidence, but I'm so happy to end the year seeing it approved!

Thanks Cashrewards customer support, they were extremely helpful and quick to respond throughout the process of manually claiming it.
