Merry Christmas and Happy New Year fellow OzBargainers

If you chaps are like me and suffering from having to replace an old/outdated modem/router because your internet connection is on FTTN, then you may be interested in the ASUS DSL-AX82U modem/router. Bought mine from JB Hifi awhile ago (but then became almost half price during Black Friday Sales….ggggrrrr) but Mwave is having a sale ending 1 January 2023 or while stocks last. This appears to be AU stock. UK stock at $375.02 is currently listed on Amazon AU i.e. comes with a UK plug while JB Hifi are selling this bad boy for $449.00.

Good luck and happy hunting.

The lowest it has been for this was roughly $230

    • Wish i had've seen it at that price! It's still too expensive at this price as there are alternatives with better features for less $$ made by ASUS. At the $230 as you mentioned, that's where it should be imho.
      Looks cool though lol

      • Hey can you share some alternatives? Looking to upgrade from DSL-AC68U. (Need vdsl)

      • I'd love to know too I only have a tp link ac1200 and would like to expand my horizon lol

      • Which modems from Asus do you think are better? Currently looking

        • I didn't realise this was the modem/router model…. thought it was router only

    • Was this the dsl model? Can you share when and where this was? Wondering if should wait

Someone here said it was half price at JB for boxing day. Confirmed with JB it was $299 but they offered me it for $325 via the online chat for anyone looking.

Thanks, and can probably combine with 7% giftz deal and $10 perks to bring down further

That’s the router version, no modem

Ohhhhhhh didn't realise that!! Thanks for pointing that out as i thought there was a router version only, not a modem/router.
This looks appealing now since my current modem/router is a white dodo nbn thingy….. Range isn't that great
