  Is anyone actually considering this gen gpu? Both companies deliberately priced their gpus so that they can clear old stocks without completely tanking the already tanked prices. These gpu are better, but at a much higher cost, with nothing to use on. Unless you're a star citizen fan, or a hardcore Minecraft steamer, I'm not sure what is the value of these things.

    I think the gaming community is divided somewhat on it. I acknowledge for example they should be cheaper and frames/dollar etc suck.

    That being said they're faster in absolute terms and for many (myself included) that's enough. It sucks and I wish all gamers could enjoy them but sitting around hoping noone will buy them so the duopoly will reduce prices next week and I can save some money is folly.

    I prefer to enjoy my games in all their glory and won't deny myself that.
