Cashrewards/ Boost Mobile

Hey all, hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I used this offer https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/745124 and bought through Cashrewards website on the 15th Dec, my click was registered. Got the sim delivered in couple of days.
I was on boost network so i contacted Boost customer care and used this to recharge(edit: Activated the new simcard and moved my number to it) my existing mobile number. They were nice about it, i didn't have to port out and in. Everything went fine

Then i noticed even after 7 days cashrewards didn't register my cashback, so i contacted them. they replied asking for proof and asked if i used it as recharge (not sure why it has anything to do with tracking)

Just wondering if this is how it works ? sorry never really used cashrewards in the past, have used Shopback plenty of times without problems

Upon checking your response, I have noticed that you answered yes on question #3 indicating that your purchase was a recharge on a existing service. As per store special terms: Cashback is ineligible on prepaid phones, recharges, and any plans or products not specifically listed in the cashback table of rates. Due to this, your purchase is ineligible for cashback. I am unable to further investigate these claims.

Sorry that I could not provide better news for you. I recommend reviewing each store’s special terms and familiarizing yourself with our General Cashback Guidelines when making future purchases to ensure you will receive rewards.

      • Just to clarify… boost appeared in your click history, but cashback never tracked?.. if so yes happens quite often.

        No mention of the merchant declining the transaction, might be worth opening another ticket and answer no to question #3. That way they can manually add it and leave it up to the merchant to approve or decline.

                @Dhache: Cheers. Yeah for the first time my Boost order didn't track yesterday. I've had like 5 before that tracked instantly. Hopefully it will be okay after I submit a claim next week.
