[Switch] Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour $2.99 @ Nintendo eShop

840

Is that a Duke in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Matching previous low for this piece of nostalgia on Switch. 80% off. Now time to go kick a$$ and chew bubblegum. I grabbed it last time at this price and it plays really well. Love the addition of gyro controls for aiming and the enhanced graphics from the original.

Agreed - it translates quite well on switch. 10/10 can recommend to re-live the good old days

Bought this a while ago. I've never seen any online players to play with on Switch Duke3D.
I did enjoy the developers commentary feature though

    Worth it for dukematch alone!

omg this is the original you know the switch is turning into an arcade machine more and more now with all these classics being released on it. I have seen full cabinets powered by a switch for arcade machines.

  • I got this on the Playstation, is it better on switch?

Moves way too fast for my on my Ps5

    • +1

I can’t comment on Switch vs PS5. It does run fast but so did the original. I find playing it with gyro controls helps with aiming. However, the flying pigs are still a punish. At least you can wind back time if you accidentally shoot a wall or enemy too close with the rocket launcher (talking from experience).

        Thanks

one of my favourite games, thanks! Is there anyway to hide it or lock it out from my 7yo son? He just got the switch for his bday so hoping to play it stealth at nigh

Another game I've collected and re-collected over the years, guess I can add the Switch version of "World Tour" to the collection (already have it on pc, xbox and playstation lol).

  • How good is it on a controller?

I always thought keyboard & mouse combo for the win?

    • I find the added gyro controls makes this work using a controller (both docked and on-the-go)
