Will an Aussie CC or Paypal account work?

  • +2

Does it work if you have an existing epic games account? I just VPN'd into turkey, but prices still showing up in AUD for me.

    • +1

You have to contact customer support to change your country if you have added a payment method or completed a purchase. I'm guessing they will ask for proof of some sort.

  • -2

No one here is calling it Turkiye yet? I noticed even Al Jazeera sometimes calls it Turkiye but other times still spells it Turkey.

    • +9

      In English we say Turkey.

      • +9

It's a pretty recently accepted change (by the UN) to start calling the country Turkiye. Fair enough that a lot of poeple haven't heard, or are just forgetting because it's been "Turkey" their whole lives.

        • +3

This is pretty much what I said below, kind of a surprise that people feel so negatively about it

      • It's the ivory coast problem again.

    • -5

It should be Turkiye (or Türkiye, really). Those still using Turkey are likely not aware of the request for the change, or just forgetting / slipping.

    • +1

is it pronounced Turk - Key - Ye?

      • More like Turk-ee-yay I think.

      • +4

no I think you're thinking of the person formerly known as Kanye

    • -7

Maybe when they accept responsibility and consequences for their attempts of genocide i'll care about their preferred Nouns.

      • +3

Did you seriously go down the 'genocide' route on an Aussie bargain sharing website? Pathetic. It's sometimes better to leave comments to yourself.

EDIT: even on a Turkish airlines bargain this individual left consistent racist rhetoric. Seems like the issue here is more than personal, no place for such people on this website. His name is also a word play on Kemal Ataturk — report the account, bargain website is no place for such racists.

        • -7

Nice strawman 👍 I guess genocide and war crimes are okay as long as you can save a buck and use the correct nouns 👌

          • +2

@kamelataturd: Mate, you're on a bargain website talking about war crimes. There's a time and place and your username clearly tells everyone that you have some deep rooted issues. Move along, your account wont be standing for much longer.

            • -5

@69michaeljordan69: Strawman after strawman keep them coming champ. Obviously very pained at the fact people are calling you by the name you have gone by for over 100yrs despite your recent transition.

            • @69michaeljordan69: He’s got some deep issues is an understatement as for he’s racist remarks that he has cheep shots at.
Moderators continually ignore him for some reason.

        • -2

Though it was gobble gogobble gobble

      • I say common era because that's what they used at uni and what is used in literature. AD and BC were not as good because most people don't even know what it means in Latin or even how to pronounce it properly.

      • +13

Is a website for sharing bargains really the place you feel necessary for sharing such shit

      • +1

        of course it's a queenslander.

      • +4

Funny, every conservative Ultra nationalist pro-Erdogan Turk I've met (and I've met a lot) calls it Turkiye

If you don't know what the (profanity) you're taking about say nothing, it'll save you looking like an uneducated idiot

    • +1

Turkey have always called themselves Turkiye, which is fine. The problem starts when they expect me to call them that. Not going to happen.

  • How much is Cyberpunk in TRY? Can anyone check? At work, no access to VPN

    • Around 10 AUD.

      • +1

Thats a great deal if no risk of getting banned.

  • +1

Can you gift games like in steam, I'm assuming you run the same risk of being banned

    • +1

no gifting on epic. it's been on their to-do list since 2019, they really are very slow at rolling out updates for the client

  • +9

Be careful. Accounts might be banned using VPN. Check f**kepic reddit channel

Digital games have revolutionised business. Only with this can you fully experience the thousands of hours and millions of dollars of work by others for a $1 coin, and the company still can make huge profit.

  • Using purevpn. Created new account. Tried 2 credit cards, edge and firefox and app and each time getting "Failed to challenge captcha, please try again later." when clicking on purchase and even when trying to add credit card in payment methods

    • +1

If you got a VPN and trying to buy for a buck you may as well just you know, visit the bay

  • Does not work.. Tried a new turkey based account with VPN but does not accept any payment methods

    • +5

Worked for me with getflix vpn and ING bank card

      • +1

thanks! getflix trial worked with my ANZ. So it was purevpn being detected. luckily purevpn was 100% cashback lol

        • Good to hear.

        • You doing this with new or existing epic account?

      • +1 here.
        Getflix VPN and Up Mastercard.
I made a new account over the vpn before making the purchase.

    • +1

      Worked for me :)

  • +1

Can this be modded to have Henry Cavill's head on Yennfer's body?

    • +3

That is what the "complete edition" is

  • +1

Toss Epic a coin for the Witcher 3.

  • -4

It's so dam confusing, I give up.

  • NordVPN works but none of my credit cards were accepted. Not worth any more trouble if it only cost AUD 15 with the 80% discount.

  • +2

Didn't work by any method for an existing account for me.
Then I felt dirty when I realised it's only $15.79 from Steam or GOG. How much cheaper do we want it? It's a bargain at the Australian price!

The answer to your question will be presented when someone posts up a deal for it as "Free" and you count the upvotes.

      • Or Free with EXTRA freebies :)

  • +4

I picked up witcher 3, cyberpunk 2077 and horizon zero dawn which qualified for 25% off coupon. Around $15aud all up.
Worked on new Epic account on Getflix VPN with HSBC Visa.
    Thanks OP.
