Anyone returned items to Adidas recently? Strange delivery address for returns

I just submitted a return request on the Auspost website (link sourced from the returns and refunds section of the Adidas website). It has generated an Auspost label addressed to a unit [number I am choosing not to disclose] at 2a The Crescent WENTWORTH POINT NSW 2127. I thought this was odd as it looks like a residential Sydney address and upon googling, it appears the delivery address is a 2 bed 2 bath residential unit and even appears on realestate.com.au with internal photos of the unit and floorplans etc.

Has anyone recently returned items to Adidas and sent to this Sydney address? I would have thought Adidas returns would be processed at some large warehouse on an industrial estate rather than a 2 bed residential unit.

Very strange. I had one from November that went to an address in Victoria.

Maybe they are working from home?

I just booked a return from 3 years ago to suss it out for you and that same address is coming up.

    Interesting!!

  • Yeah I did one recently a few weeks back and it was campberfield vic

    • Very strange indeed as there is no campberfield in Victoria

      • Campbellfield

I guess someone living in this address placed an order of the same product you returned. Then Adidas will save half of the postage fee.

My best guess is some small entrepreneur manage to get Adidas into using them as some sort of returns sorting contractor.

  • Adidas is located in Herzogenaurach

  • My Adidas return was CAMPBELLFIELD VIC.

  • I've recently returned two separate orders and they've generated an address in Glenfield NSW.
Somehow, both orders have ended up in Smeaton Grange NSW, which is like 24km away.
Now it's showing that they're being "Delivered back to sender".

So does this mean I'll need to send it again? First time I've experienced something like this.

    • Not sure. Did you end up receiving your parcel back again?

      • Just got my refund email from Adidas.
So I'm guessing it went to the right place, despite Auspost showing otherwise.

  • Still waiting for my refund. Sent and received on 15/12. 2 calls later they kept saying they escalating it to finance to get approval. Seems very dodgy. Previously things happened much faster and automatic. Next step is just going straight for a cc charge back.

  • I recently received someone else's order (pair of ladies shoes and shirt) when I ordered 2 pairs of men's shoes. I emailed them as soon as I got the delivery but no response. After a week of not receiving a reply I filled out the online return form through their website and sent the package back. It was paid through PayPal and after a month I sent a request for refund.

Their response to my request (twice) has been I didn't return the items I ordered, which obviously I can't do.

I think my only option now is to escalate it through PayPal. I've never had to use the PayPal protection before so not sure what to expect given it's my word against theirs?
