                      • @The Judge: hahaha I think we have vastly different definitions of minutiae

                        • @bigpoppa: You're whining about severance packages & other vague allegations…unless you're a shareholder with a material interest in SpaceX or Tesla (press x to doubt) I can't see how that really matters, even less so when the company you've posted several deals for (and I haven't even addressed Samsung) is mired in literal human rights abuses and helps prop up tyrannical regimes. I don't think SpaceMan is the bad guy you're trying to make him out to be.

                          • @The Judge: Human rights violation has no basis in investments in a company. I'm reading a lot of wasted pixels and baseless accusations to make your evil messiah sound neutral but at the end of the day an evil inhumane wanna be dictator is an evil inhumane wanna be dictator. I won't be mad if you are turned on by that kind of savagery but just be truthful to yourself

                            • @bigpoppa: Again, sidestepping each & every point made about the shit practices Apple either actively engages in, or allows to continue; and again, I haven't even started on Samsung (you want to whinge about labour practices? Might not want to go down that Korean rabbit hole…). As it turns out, I don't own any Tesla products (but a tonne of Apple stuff), but I think Musk is a funny & polarising figure who drives people like you insane.

                              • @The Judge: It's alright you're just a bad Judge of character

                                • @bigpoppa: Rent free baby, Elon has his feet up & is doing an episode of Joe Rogan from between your ears!

In North America 1.5G up and down plan is around $100 and 1G up/down is $80 after converting to AUD.
My mate in Canada is getting 1.5G down and 50M up cable internet for $50

      Normal price, no bargain listed?

      • +1

The deal is the 1/2 price equipment

        • +1

It has been $450 for the past 3 months, so it has become the new "normal price".

For now anyway. Who knows when/if it'll go back up.

      • At the time on posting it expired at midnight new years eve. So it qualified as a bargain. On the 2nd of January the deal was extended.

The mobile version of this would be a good deal for someone with a van, or a holiday home in an area poorly serviced by the mobile network, they used for their holidays because you can pause it when you don't need it. It could also be used as a backup. Turn it on and get charged when you need it.

Long term contracts prevent both parties from making sensible changes when necessary.

Ok, so non-sensible changes are fine?

I was in Karijini National park and a dude had this on the rooftop of his van
He shared the wifi and I was getting low 100mb speed which is pretty good, I was watching EPL in the middle of nowhere all night long Mrs was not happy lol
Only reception is Telstra but you have to be closer to the park camping ground
Personally wouldn’t get this for my house as I have fttp and jump ships every 6 months
