Hi Rep, I like watches. Any bargains?

    • Hi WatchNerd!

We recommend Blue Planet if you're looking for a unique piece that will stand out. The Z series is our best seller and a great place to start if you're new to our brand. We also just released a new model - M series Magician which is 3 different styles in one watch.

      Hope this helps!

        Blue planet is 399?

        • The Z series' original price is $399

No prices or bargains in title.

    • This has been updated.

        Excellent. Still no bargains though

          This. 🫡

  • Can you tell us more about the movement?

    • +9

It is a modified or (proprietary) automatic Seagull movement with a 28800vph 4hz and 40hr power reserve.

given most seagull automatic movements are 21,600 vph 3hz, it is likely a modified ST2100. This is a very similar movement to ETA 2836-2 or 2824-2

It is a bit hard to tell the time on this, but an interesting watch. I appreciate the design and it deserves the award, but personally not 100% sure on the price, considering you can get ST2100 watches for around $500, double the price is a big ask especailly with only one rubber strap. I am also not sure the titanium grade on this watch, which could make it very easy to dent.

During black friday sale, the discount was 25% which was even more tempting. Also the original release titanium was a limited run, which is now part of their line up.

Sorry for sounding like a watch nerd.

      • It's a big help that that you are Kyo…..saves having to find the info ourselves.

        Thanks WatchNerd's apprentice.

  • The Blue Planet actually won the GPHG challenge prize, beating out my favourite, Anordain.

It’s an interesting and different design, though the bands are a bit disappointing.

I respect that CIGA can try something that out there.

  • Interesting design. Is this a bargain or an ad.

  • Is this the poor mans Astronomia?

Does the rose watch come with the pendant?
Does the steel strap/leather strap $299 come with the watch? Thanks

    • Yes, the Rose watch comes with the pendant.

The watch comes with 1 strap.

      • His question was, is it $299 for just the steel strap?

Or is it $299 for a different model of the rose watch which has a steel strap? Because the watch face shown in the picture for the "Steel Strap Quartz" looks different from the one thats shown in the picture for "Automatic Mechanical"

        • +1

There are 2 models - Automatic which only comes in the leather strap and the Quartz which has a leather strap and a steel strap version.

          • @CIGA Design AU: None of the straps listed on the website seem to be compatible with the R series. Can you confirm the lug width for the R series Automatic? Can a third party strap with the same lug width be fitted without issues?

  • J series is nice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmjxqgQUraM sadly not sold from the AU website.

  • I got a MY series years ago for about $250 AUD, seems like the price has gone up: https://cigadesign.com/products/series-my

I bought a Z and C on the int'l site during Black Friday for $311.70 USD, which was approx $450 AUD

Is the X just the same as the C, but more rugged looking and better movement?

The Blue Planet case looks almost exactly like an Ikepode Megapode, but my Megapode is a full monocoque and needs to be opened from the front, has a porthole on the back, and a strap that Jony Ive stole for the Apple Watch. The Blue Planet dial is very nice though. The caseback looks a bit weird, and there are no clear pics.Would probaly buy if it was cheaper and I didn't own an Isopode and Megapode

    • Yes, the X series has an upgraded custom movement and anti-shock system.

  • I purchased the Z series (Titanium Black) when they launched a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo or Kickstarter. The design is unique, I loved it. I also got many compliments from random people. However, after purchasing the watch I later found out that it needs manual winding unless you keep wearing it most of the time. I am not very impressed with the build quality. The crown came off after a year and a half of frequent manual winding, making the watch useless. OP, happy to send it to you if you can fix the crown.
