OSKO Was Instant ING to ubank?

Trying to drain money from ING to Ubank is becoming harder than I thought.
1/1/23 sent $20K came this morning 3/1. Thinking the governments onto this I sent $4999 this morning came late afternoon.

Before as a test run (new account) sent maybe $200 and came within minutes.

Is there a trick to this or overseers watching higher amounts. The more you send the longer it takes to arrive even if you have sent cash to that account before.

The Osko limit for ING Orange Everyday accounts is $1,000 per day (which is outlined on page 3 of the Fees and Limits Schedule).

Any transfers over that $1,000 daily limit will be sent as a regular bank transfer, which is not instant.

    • And I think that $1000 limit includes payid as well

      • Correct it does is expense to PayID and Osko.

  • Not sure whats going on then. Every time I hit send no matter how much the OSKO sign comes up.

    • Are you using bsb/acct number to send?

      • It's all going through just the more the slower

1/1/23 was a Sunday so the transfer would go through on the next business day (2nd was a public holiday), hence why it came through on the 3rd.

If you want to do a large transfer >$1k do it early in the morning (on a business day) and it should arrive at your other bank later that day

That’s a bug in the Android banking app (and I think the iOS banking app too), but the Osko logo does not appear on the iPadOS banking app for transfers that take you over the $1,000 daily limit.

    Limit(s) Things you should know
Pay anyone For payments to other
    bank accounts
You can choose to set a limit
    of $500, $1,000, $2,000,
    $5,000, $10,000, $15,000
    or $20,000 per day, per
    account
    Temporary one-day limit of
    up to your available account
    balance

Payments made through the New Payments Platform
(including Osko payments) are limited to $1,000 in
    total per day per account.
This limit operates as a sub-limit of the Pay anyone
limit mentioned in the row above. So, if you make
a payment using the New Payments Platform, the
amount available for Pay anyone transfers that day
will reduce by the same amount.
If the Pay anyone limit on your account is less than
$1,000 per day, then the limit on daily payments
using the New Payments Platform will be reduced to
    the same amount……

Trying to drain money from ING to Ubank

You can call up ING to increase limit to MAX and empty it in 1 go.

      Temporary one-day limit of
      up to your available account
      balance

      • Just did that Thanks. You don't need to call. I managed to do it on my phone. A drop down box opens re enter your PIN and set limit. Only problem is can't work out how to lower it again.

Hope sending the money back from Ubank next month is as easy

Daily transfer limit is not the same as your Osko limit.
Osko is $1000 p/day, no way to change it

  • Large transfer today ing to ubank only took a few hours.

    • I'm still waiting for 10K from yesterday arv

      • Much more than that left transferred from ING at 4:56pm, available in ubank at 8:13pm

  • Also OP in your original post you have admitted that you're now structuring payments which is highly illegal.

Thinking the governments onto this I sent $4999 this morning came late afternoon.

What you need to do is if you want to transfer the whole amount in one lot is ring the bank and have them increase the limit and transfer the money to the new bank. One time payment limit increases is something banks will do on request.

It will not go instantaneously though and we'll go to the old legacy clearinghouse system which means you'll have to wait for one of the sweep windows.

I assume OP is transferring money between their own accounts. Nothing illegal no matter how you structure those kind of payments.

  • Anyone have any suggestions for alternatives to Ubank? They've really gone to … for me at least.
I am having issues with payments not going through, like automated payments to PayPal. I end up having to pay with another card or bank account.
And it wouldn't work with ServicesSA. And it wouldn't work with SOME Amazon purchases.
(This is happening when I have ~$750 in the account and it is trying to make a payment for ~$35 PayIn4.)
Hold times recently are, "greater than 2 hours", so I tend to give up trying to solve such issues, but this is the second money that random payments have been failing.
The hold music is so bad, they're certainly saving money there. The same guitar riff looped every 7 seconds for 2 hours hurts.
