Is it really 230 cms? Wow, finally proper height… Everything else that I've seen was way too low.
Now all they need is to make a simpler station with just two vertical and one horizontal bar, so that one could do more high amplutitude stuff on it.

    • +6

Kogan item is100kg weight limit and $148 delivered.
OP"s is 150kg weight limit and $85 delivered.

      • $128 plus it has extra facilities.
Most people over 100kg wont want any of the two anyway

        • +1

Weighted pull ups are a thing. I'm 90kg and go for volume still, but if I added a 10kg weight the thing would break. Doesn't speak well for quality with such a low limit.

          • -3

@Kommodore: Yeah but i am over well over 100kg and use cheap stuff which says 80kg max all the time and nothing ever broke

      • First pic says 150kg but in the specs it says 200kg

    • +9

      No, it's from Kogan.

  • -3

Just go to your local park and use the bar for chin up there

    • +2

      Which local park?

      • +5

the one where you get mugged

    • Not all parks have money bars. Quite a few of the ones closest to my house do not.

    • +2

My local park has a lot of teens, from a certain continent, sitting idly, eyeballing potential targets. I am afraid to go there. Even the police don't go to that park anymore.

  • Thanks Op ordered.

  • -7

Personally i would recommend to pay a bit extra and get the ALDI squat rack - you can do a lot more than just pull-up and the build quality is excellent
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/438828.

A mate has something similar but its build quality is poor and i wont want to risk using it.

    • +8

Perfect if you have a time machine and you can go back to 2019 when it was sold by Aldi

      • I would just get a pull up bar until the celsius half rack goes on sale at rebel sport. This looks like it takes up a lot of space for not a lot of utility, definitely destined for hard rubbish.

        • what about this one from Rebel?

Celsius VR1 Vertical Knee Raise System
          https://www.rebelsport.com.au/p/celsius-vr1-vertical-knee-ra…

          • @wongy: Still pretty massive for something that just allows you to do pull-ups and dips.

            • @Cheaplikethebird: @cheaplikethebird you should be able to do more body weight exercises then just pull-ups and dips with it, the added benefit is that its all in one place.

How would you rate these kinds of products from Celcius?

              • @wongy: More than what you can do with some dip bars and a chin up bar that can pack away into a cupboard? I just think if you’re going to use up that much space you’re better off getting a rack even if it does cost a little more.

In regards to quality I only have experience with the celsius half rack which is decent for the average user.

It’s showing $55 shipping for me… anyone get free delivery?
Edit: seems free delivery only reserved for eastern states. SA, NT and WA are out of luck.

  • Trying to buy. Website so slow….

Was one click away from buying but probably just going to stay on the safe side with all these negative reviews

We have detected a number of positive reviews for this listing which we suspect have been falsely generated and have the potential to mislead consumers.

Been shopping online all my life and this is the first time when a product is not shipped, no shipping updates were provided after 2 weeks, and when I contacted the seller to cancel the order, they magically claim they can deliver the order the next day which is Saturday

It has been almost 4 weeks since my order and the seller has not cancelled my order as per my request or shipped the product. They are refusing to refund me and are asking for an additional $50 of “advertising and shipping costs

      i wish i saw this before….

    • +4

Shipping costs for something that's not shipped, nice

      • +3

Customers pay additional $50 to get advertised at!

        • More like a tuition fee. $50 to get a lesson, which might be a deal worth posting separately.

  • Any recommendations for anything similar that's also height adjustable?

    Budget is $250.

  • I’m currently assembling this one :
    shorturl.at/uyQ39

Seems good so far but instructions are horrific, lucky there’s a YouTube video with a similar assembly.

    • Reviews don't seem great though.

  • +6

With what appears as fake 5 star reviews on the site and the negative reviews accusing this business of scamming on external review sites, I’d say enough red flags have been raised to proceed with caution.

Amazing business lasting for over a decade by capitalising on issues?

    • Reading google reviews, all of them have been responded by the business which is a good sign.

      • Wow looks positive on google reviews TR Sydney Brisbane Melbourne

Didn't see replies on ProductReviews though on cursory glance- strange if they have not responeed there - it shows alert at possible fake reviews

        sus

We have detected a number of positive reviews for this listing which we suspect have been falsely generated and have the potential to mislead consumers.

ProductReview.com.au takes a zero tolerance approach to any fake reviews and have removed these reviews accordingly.

        Google not filtering generated reviews?

TR Sports comprehensive replies seemed decent on a couple - one replied 45 minutes ago. Doing well .. expanding physical stores..

Too many trading names without at least a platform like eBay

        According to a review…

“While I was waiting, I was writing a Google review because it was one of their promotions to get an extra one year warranty if I give them a five-star”

They are buying review. Hence the distortion. That’s a huge red flag IMO.

  • +1

    Was $540.99 , now $95.99.

    Sound legit. Not.
I think this should be removed before anyone gets scammed.
As per above comment - https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/sports-leisure

    • Should be OK as there are alternatives on market priced at $99, e.g. Kogan

      • +1

The company sounds dodgy as. You may not even receive anything.

        • -2

I think the chance is very low. All the cases with 1 star review got resolved anyway. I'll take a risk.

        • +1

Isnt paypal for that kind of situation? You can claim paypal dispute if something goes wrong. If they cant prove the item is delivered, you get your money back.

          • @ozizoy: It looks like everyone is having a problem. So why bother at all?

          • +1

@ozizoy: Yeah, just read the reviews after ordering, which after which reading I would of looked elsewhere. Amazed they haven't become another phoenix company and rebranded.

Keeping an eye on the paypal cut off dates now.

These are good for hanging one towel on but no reason you can't use it for both purposes.

  • +2

Got shipping confirmation mail. Hm…will see how it goes.

    • Have you received it yet?

  • Is it weird that the address of this site correspond to the better known https://www.trsports.com.au/about-us/ ?

… Seems like this site just ripped off all the info from the other one and is smelling like a scam

    • -1

All 3 domain names - trsports.com.au, sportsleisure.com.au and ozfitnessequipment.com.au belong to the same registrant - T and R International Pty Ltd, ABN 59141443898

Smells like it is just a small business trying to look big.
I think they will hire a courier for a day or will do all local deliveries themselves once there is enough orders to fit the truck… I am guessing

    • That link just triggered my virus scanner…

  • Order shipped with Hero Express today

    • Arrived today, no issues

      • 13 days doesn't sound very "express". Have you set it up and used it yet?

        • +1

I am unlucky with my postcode.
All set up and used. Good budget product for $85. (if you are under 80kg). They should've disclosed the weight limitation (if any)

          • +1

@alexshel: The specs says that it has a 200kg capacity and one of the pictures says 150kg. I would return it if only 80kg.

            • @RickyJ: Oh, I haven't noticed that. Maybe it can withstand 150 if they declared that.
It doesn't feel very stable to me.

  • I asked to cancel my order as soon as I placed it yesterday, but they just sent an email like below and shipped my order today. I replied why I want to cancel, but no response yet. At least the customer service does not care about customers as the product review site shows.

    This is their email.

    Sorry to hear below.
May I know why you want to cancel?

    Regards
    Joy”

    • How apt to have a name Joy and not care about customers ;)

      • I asked CS several time how it goes by email. CS replied back with the all same email. It seems just a copy and paste email.

Been looking for something like this for a while! Ordered, thanks op.

Hopefully the negative comments about it being a scam that I read after ordering aren't true

Order arrived on sunday, haven't checked inside the large box yet.

    • Opened it yet? I am still waiting for my delivery. It currently says in transit

      • It was the correct item. I've assembled it, the instructions as expected are less than useful.

One of the arm rests was faulty out of the factory, the pre-drilled holes are out by a 1cm or so , it can't be attached correctly. I've contacted them to see if they have a spare.

Also had one of the parts needing some tenderising with a rubber mallet to get it to actually be able to be screwed as it was slightly bent.

Order arrived yesterday. Set everything up ( manual definitely not useful) but got it all setup and to be honest, its much better than i expected. Well if you dont even expect it to turn up everything is a bonus i guess haha. Been using it twice yesterday and this morning, i wish the bench press can adjust for incline and decline though

    • Oh i have no issue with the arm rest either

  • I am still waiting for my delivery. Ordered on 4/1/23.

  • I am 20km from the location it says it's shipped from.. 11 days "in transit", probably waiting on an order to arrive?

  • +1

I got thru on call eventually, lady was helpful, said tracking information can be wrong.. but item should come 20/01.. and will receive an SMS a day or so before.

  • I purchased a different gym set, went and picked it up rather than waiting for postage. Can confirm they are legit. Not the highest quality but good value for money for what I needed.

  • Put mine together today. Very happy with the price. Does the job. A bit lightweight so machine moves a bit when using it. I am 66kg

  • I have’t receive my order yet. It has been placed the order on 4/Jan. Anyone is still waiting for?
