Is this good rice? Is this better than say Costco Jasmine rice?
I prefer this than SunRice Jasmine Fragrance Rice - same price (5kg for $12 when on half price).
Not all Woolworths has this item in their store.

@JaxSantiago: This Wheel Thai rice is better than Viet Royal Feast (pretentious to be Thai rice by its packaging).
But somehow Viet ‘Hinata’ rice (pretending to be Japan sushi rice) is better than both imo
I think you've misread it. Royal Feast is $19. Purple packaging. I saw it too but wanted to try Golden Wheel.

Two different species, jasmine and basmati, so it's like asking if these apples are as good as those pears, which is valid, but not easy to answer.
Uh ok, I use all rice for the same thing jasmine and basmati like fried rice,random curries, steamed, etc which is why i ask

Why would you get negged, I don't get it.
While it's all rice, basmati has lower GI and longer grains. Certain cuisines prefer certain kind of rice, eg. Indian would be basmati by default, risottos would require arborio.
I prefer Basmati Rice when cooking fried rice
Love to try it. Used to eat golden phoenix back to the day the texture was excellent. Rices made in Thailand are good in general.
