Damn - i bought 6 full price for the whole family to watch on Monday…

  • A lot of free tickets, havent been watching, are they not selling well?

Perth games were very low numbers except for the final day

    • +1

Most of the Brisbane matches were only half full, if that!

      • Such a shame they got rid of the Brisbane International. Just not as appealing to watch when there are no Aussies on-court.

Terribly would be one way to describe it

    • where are the free tickets?

    • +1

Australia got knocked out early which probably ended chances of good sales.

It’s the first time the event is being held. I think people still need to become familiar with the event. For Sydney it’s a great opportunity to finally see (male) world class players again, as the Sydney Open had really deteriorated badly in terms of quality over the years. The night session with Nadal and De Minaur was packed, fantastic atmosphere. I’ve seen other nearly sold out days on tv as well.

  • Why is nothing free in Melbourne?

  • Shows no matter what sport is held in Sydney, people just don't go.

Tinpot tournament that nobody really cares about with overpriced tickets. Sydney have historically always had the lowest crowds of the Aus Open series tournaments, so they gave them the biggest nations for the United Cup. It's like an episode of The 3 Stooges.

    • This. ☝️

    • Also because no one in NSW ever goes to sporting events.

      • People in NSW do go to sporting events - just not in their own state :)

Only place you can see players players so close for $50 buck tickets (if buy 2) courtside. Been to US Open/ Wimbledon and cant even see them as you sit write at the back in massive stadiums for that price. Superb

  • I got confused. Ticket price $100 each and two for one should be $100 in total. However, website is showing $200. Anyone got an idea about it?

    • Yea I got confused as well. It's actually $200 for the original price. The price that is showing is 50% off but you have to buy two.

  • So all listed price is already 50% off. If you 2 people want to go and see, need to buy 2 x two for one ticket?

    • It’s $30 or $50 each.
      Buy two.

    • That's the semi finals not finals

  • Scoring of the previous matches looks strange. Is it a different format?

    • +1

Scoring is the standard best of 3 sets

      • Yeah sorry.. They were missing hyphen in the middle and it looked like 26 36 and made me wonder what sort of scoring is this.
