  • Which GPU is the best one to go with?

3090 ti performance with half the power consumption and half the price seems like a really good deal to me. Not sure why there is a lot of negativity about this card from the reviewers. I watched several reviews and I don't see the issue.

Card runs pretty much anything at 4K 60+ FPS cool and quiet, and in my opinion hits the sweet spot of performance per watt for this architecture, before you get diminishing returns.

  • Is this good to do some entry level machine learning model training and for ML inference using open source models such as OpenAI whisper or stable diffusion?

    • +1

I've just purchased a similar machine (from BPC's new deal) for those purposes. The impression I got was that this would chew through local image generation. The main rate-limiting factor in the process is RAM, especially VRAM. So whilst 24GB(++++) would be better, 12GB is still decent.

  • Is selecting the i7 over the i5 overkill? Just looking for a gaming PC with no intentions of overclocking or upgrading anything

    • +1

I would suggest the i7 is going to mean less bottlenecking (if any at 1440p/4k), so in essence, as game hardware requirements get higher, your CPU/GPU combo will stay relevant for longer.
There isn't much side by side comparison out there of the 2 CPUs, but I did come across this, which gives some comparison on 13400 vs 13700 (which puts the 13700 in front by maybe 15%, but it is a large cost to gain that. However, if you consider the 13400 is probably bottlenecking, the percentage difference is higher).
      https://chipguider.com/?p=intel-core-i7-13700-vs-intel-core-…

I would suggest the 13400F might perform around 12700k levels, meaning it probably bottlenecks at around 6% at 4k , 22% at 1440p and 36.5% at 1080p.

Given the 13700 should perform better, you should see reductions in all over those bottlenecks.

I think the 13700 is probably going ro preform around the 12900ks level, but this is just a guesstimate

I'm no guru in this space, just leveraging off some stuff I've read and the tools I've found.

Thanks appreciate it! I've decided not to purchase right now, wanting to buy for Starfield but figure I should wait for a release date

I suddenly found this deal is to make the 4070ti priced exactly 799 usd.
Try to add all the components with their price in this store together, then minus the price of this bundle, you can see 4070ti is exactly 799usd.
Of course, you also saved the assembling labor.
Assembling is not easy for everyone. I myself is an IT professional, and I am very familiar with all the components and know how to assemble them. However, my cable management skill is a mess… So anyway, the price is ok, it is not a bargain but makes the price it should be.

I noticed you added Upgrade Option to 7900 XT AMD Video Card instead. But you charge +$99 to do this. That seems weird considering the 7900 XT is cheaper than a 4070 Ti in Australia.

  • Really like the deal, but I wonder if there is other upgrade option available, like DDR5 RAM instead of 3600Hz CL17 or different choice for case since I was looking for a White or Pink case instead of black

  • Has anyone had experience with having to return a system under warranty? What sort of turnaround can you expect? Any hassles?

  • +2

Damn, I didn't realise the expiry on this was so short. That'll teach me to think faster next time….or not.

Hey May I ask if any similar deal on 4070ti coming recently?

    • +3

      Hi,

We will have a huge promotion for the 4070Ti system, 4080 system, 4090 system, and other PC package deals coming this Friday.
The price will be updated by that time again. Please stay tuned!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team
