    Seems like a good build.
I like the mobo option provided. Makes sense to have built in wifi

  • +4

MSI B660 Tomahawk is an extra $55? Or is it standard with the package. Product description on website doesn’t mention which mobo is used.

    • +13

      Hi aus36,

MSI B660 Tomahawk WiFi comes as standard with no extra cost.
The Upgrade Option for Motherboard is a website bug and we are getting it fixed at the moment.

Please forget about the MB Option at the moment lol.
      Thanks for reminding us!

      • +5

Now we have fixed the page!

Placing the biggest disappointment of 4070TI with bundle. Great choice.

    • It was a joke as a 4080 but still a good card and now properly named. Whether it's value for money at it's price point is another matter!

      • +9

Reviews are pretty underwhelming. Even 4070 Ti doesn’t seem the right name for its relative performance.

        • +4

While I agree, I don't think it's toooo big of a deal. Sure, it's misleading to the layman who might assume it's 15% better than it is (mind you - it still matches last gen's flagship), but truth be told - a layman is going to be satisfied with the performance regardless.

The real issue is the price, I don't really mind what it's called as long as it's priced well, which this isn't - not by a long shot.
I would be no less outraged if it were priced the same, but called a 4060Ti - and I'm sure everyone else here agrees.
The 3070Ti launched with an A$959 MSRP, while the 4070Ti is A$1479 - they increased it by more than 50%, they wouldn't really do much better if it were labelled a couple tiers lower. Hell, even the 3080's launch MSRP was 22% lower at A$1139.

      • +6

Doubt it is, but people will buy it anyway because it's new and shiny

      • +2

Still an overpriced card relative to its performance. But time will tell.

      • 4k performance (since it's targeting 3090ti performance) gimped by weak memory bus.

  • +3

4070ti is roughly on par with 3090

    so not bad bundle

    • +7

Its just a matter of setting up expectations too high initially. 3.0x performance compared to 3090 TI? What a joke.

To be fair, the price isn't that bad but given the lies Nvidia made. Meh.

      • +6

AMD also made fake claims with the 7900XT/XTX as well. I guess all cards are meh now

      • NVIDIA never said it was 3x a 3090. Not even the 4090 is 3x the 3090.

It's on par with the 3090. Which is impressive. Stop watching the clickbait youtubets

        • +4

          Here you are
4070 TI delivers up to 3 times the performance of our previous flagship GPU, the 3090 TI

When you see the chart. Even 1.25 for F1 22 is not the correct number for reality.

It's clearly overwhelming and I have claim that the card is amazing to framerate/power, but I don't like the lie they made.

Worth to grab one if you are thinking about upgrading from 10 series? Yes, I do think Nvidia's claim is correct.

Worth to grab one if you are thinking about upgrading from 30 series? Meh.

Considering getting a brand new gaming PC? HODL for future releases of mid tier 40 series maybe.

          • +2

@solacens: In dlss 3.0 games it'll double the frame rate of the 3090. A user wrote, "I was playing plague tale requiem on a 3090 with dlss enabled at 80-90 fps to putting a 4070 in and went to 230fps."

          • -1

@solacens: Cherry picking. Not counting dlss3.0. also it's one year newer half the price and uses less power. How is that not a good thing

            • +1

@Micsmit: Cherry picking. Not counting less than 20% of player actually do turn ray tracing on which makes it the minority. Actually no doubt that 4k RT player should get a 4090.

Also already stating that the card itself isn't the problem and seems you completely overlook the part. I'm not repeating myself again and I'm quite sure I'm fair to both team red and green cuz I own both 6600XT and 3070TI.

              • @solacens: I'm playing 4k games at decent fps with full Rt on a 3070ti and it's great.

More and more gamers will get ray tracing in the next year as they are able to buy into 30series and 40series.

Nobody used raytracing because very few had the hardware to run it.

As also with the availability and affordability of decent 4k monitors . gamers who aren't just twitch 200fps overwatch players will be able to buy into true modern fidelity by using RT and dlss 3 .

May be a little off topic, but what is the main difference between Siren Vortex and Kraken Power? Quality?

    • +4

      Hi BargainBobcat,

Siren Vortex is a range of great bang-for-the-buck gaming systems if you are looking for quality and value choices.

Kraken Power is the PC range more focused on aesthetic design with premium components.

  • Waiting for 4080 12gb version

nVidia, making Retro Gaming Great Again!

  • What are the GPU choices? I assume PNY Verto, MSI Ventus 3X and Gigabyte Eagle?

  • +7

So that's about $1450 on the GPU, $820 on the rest.

Before the great GPU price crisis, we used to point out that budget gaming builds would get much better performance by spending up to two thirds of their budget on the GPU.

This is not what we had in mind…

  • +4

Not being DDR5 makes me sad

  • +1

How quickly do they ship these machines?

  • Price increased to $2,279. The offer didn't last long.

    • Hey,

Sorry, there was a system bug that caused the change in the price.

The price is still $2269, nothing has changed.

      • Please re-enter the deal expiry date. When the system expired the deal it did not keep a record of what it was.

Please make sure you refund the $10 overcharge to all those who ordered at $2,279.

        • +3

          Sure will do.
Also great thanks for reminding us!

  • Of the 3 GPU options, which is the smallest (physically) card?

    • +1

MSI and Gigabyte Options are smaller. Gigabyte is a bit shorter in length, while MSI is shorter in width and height.

      • -1

I couldn't figure out how to specify the option, so I'm sending an email. Also can I get all the retail packaging for the parts? Thanks.

  • +1

The ryzen deal here is better than techfast as you still get a gen 4 ssd and a better mobo with built in wifi.
However agree with rep the intel is much better platform to utilise the gpu.
Also msi is included in price where techfast are charging a premium of $99 extra. So becomes cheaper here

  • +1

What are the two Ram upgrades options?
Both are 32GB, but is one a different brand? Higher MHz?

    • +4

      Kingston 2x16GB 3600MHz for Non-RGB RAM upgrade.

And Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3600MHz for RGB RAM upgrade.

  • Thank you rep. Have ordered

  • What motherboard for the Amd option ?

    • +1

Most likely AsRock B550M PRO 4 (with no WiFi)

However you can put an Intel AX200 WiFi in your order and we will install that for you.

      Cheers!

      • -4

This should have been transparent in op . The option is led to believe its the same tier mobo for b550m

  • damn, if I didn't just build my own PC, I would have gone for this.

  • Which CPU is better? Ryzen 5 5600 or i5-13400F?

    • +4

Not many side by sides out there, but in the couple of videos I've seen, it appears the 13400F is outperforming the 5600 in most games and programs.
      Like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Ud9btsfRI

If you go off userbenchmarks (not preferred). Then to 13400F appears faster.
      https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-13400F-v…

From what I'm seeing I'd go the 13400F or potentially hit up the next upgrade. But if you wanna save some cash, the 5600 seems alright, I'd suggest you'd be bottlenecking the GPU at most resolutions for games tho based on the below. (not sure how accurate this is, but I found this tool a while back)
      Reference: https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1fB1aY/3/…

I'm not guru in this space, just using some of the tools and videos to compare. I'd say the 13400F looks to be pretty solid or going up one CPU or two.

If I was gonna buy this, I'd probably go the 13600KF. But the 13400F seems like a good fit, better than the 5600.

  • Ah shoot, realised I purchased only the 850W power supply option had thought I had selected the 1000W :( oh well.

    • +1

Thanks to the store rep for reaching out and helping me with this, very much appreciated.

  • Is this deal worth it? Would this perform well?

  • +1

Great work as always BPC tech, love the transparency of your deals.

What are the chances of getting an ITX build done with a 4070ti 😅.

    • +2

      Hey!

We just updated a 4070 Ti upgrade option for this Intel NUC system.
      Here is the link:
      https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/kp-nuc13-01-kraken-power-…

We have Fractal Design Torrent Nano case which fits some 4070Ti models. Please PM me if you have any interest.

      Cheers!

      • I like the mesh side panels for the case =]

What's the volume for that case?

  • +1

how long is this deal for?

  • +1

good work. Is 5600 suitable with this graphics card? Would it be a balanced system with this mobo, proc & graphics card?

I'm rusty with hardware nowadays. Buying it for my eleven year old :)

    • +6

I replied above to someone else with this (5600 vs 13400F)

"Not many side by sides out there, but in the couple of videos I've seen, it appears the 13400F is outperforming the 5600 in most games and programs.

Can I also say, that's a lucky 11 year old. Are you adopting? I'm just a child in my 40s.

      • +1

haha. Kids are so spoilt nowadays. Wish my old man did the same :)

    • What a lucky 11 year old. I have to DIY my own one around 10 years ago.

  • -1

id kinda prefer a 7900 XT than a RTX 4070 Ti. The new 4070 Ti costs around $100-200 more AUD than 7900 XT.
its a shame you don't have a deal with these specs + 7900 XT instead.

    • Think they just updated with a +$99 upgrade option… now I'm not sure which is better…

      • I thought 4700 Ti performs better than 7900 XT in some benchmarks

        • overall 7900 xt is faster but not by much (in rasterisation), but having that extra 8gb of vram can go a long way especially in 4K, but if you value rt then 4070 to is superior

        • +1

And has way better RT and dlss 3. Uses less power as well. Those amd cards are garbage

    • I do vote for 4070 TI for the power consumption & other RT features (yet highly likely won't use it).

  • +1

how long will it take for ship? thx

  • BPC Tech is a better choice…never had an issue, fast dispatch & delivery. Tech slow/fast on the other hand…is the opposite from my 2 purchases from them…not worth the 3 month wait..

    • Yes I can confirm that BPC Tech is a great choice. Ordered from them in October 2022 and received my 3080 Ti prebuilt in the same month.

      Very happy with them.

  • @BPC Technology Hi, I am interested in this deal. Will I be able to elect to get all components sent to me in original boxes and I do my own build? How can I specify MSI GPU which is the only one I am interested. Thank you.

    • +1

      Yes defininately yes.

Just leave a memo while you please the order, or shoot us an email at [email protected] after you placed the order.

      Cheers!

      • I asked this same question on the phone and James told me no, I needed to have it built by you guys.

  • +1

Looking for gaming pc. For this build, are there any recommended upgrades or buy as it is please?

    • +2

Personally I'd probably drop the extra RAM in, both are 3600MHz as per BPC Tech comment above,
      "Kingston 2x16GB 3600MHz for Non-RGB RAM upgrade.

And Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3600MHz for RGB RAM upgrade."

For gaming, you might want to throw in a 2tb drive, just so as games get bigger, you can manage more before delete/redownload etc

The CPU doesn't look like a massive increase for the cost (but might be worth it, if you're not overclocking you could also opt for the 13700F which is $50 cheaper than the 13700KF), haven't seen much side by side done yet. From the below video, I'd suggest the 13700 is probably 10-20% higher performing depending on the game. Skip to 27 mins for some comparisons.
      https://youtu.be/BnxbcivltnM

Userbenchmarks has the 13700KF with an over 20% performance increase (but take that with a grain of salt)
      https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-13400F-v…

I'd suggest the 13400F might bottleneck this at 1080p and 1440p, but haven't seen specifics, just on based on pages like this and old CPUs (aka the 12600 is probably around the same performance and apparently bottlenecks a fair amount below 4k, and around 20% at 4k if you take this as a decent comparison)
      https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1dC1aY/3/…

Given the potential increase in performance and the base CPU potentially bottlenecking, I'd probably go one of the 13700 options.

If you want FPS over Ray Tracing, then you might opt for the 7900 XT which has been added as an option.

I'm by no means a guru, I'm only sharing what I've seen. Happy to be corrected.

      • +2

        Appreciate your inputs thanks

    • +1

I would add the $59 tower cooler and call it a day.

Upgrading the CPU is going to increase performance, but it isn't absolutely necessary. IMO the cost difference makes it a bit hard to justify if you have a tight budget

  • +1

Like the look of this but with a 4080, the 4080 equiv build they have is an extra $800 before you even factor in upgrading the other parts to match this.

    • @pearcekk, you need to have an 4080 upgrade option on this build.

  • Just contacted BPC and apparently changing the case isn’t possible, despite “ If you want to change to another case, please feel free to talk to our sales team as the compatibility of the cases may differ due to the size of VGA card.” in their original deal post…

    • That shouldn't happen as our PM has approved some Case change requests.

Can I have the name of sales you've contacted?

      Cheers,

      • Brilliant thanks, just got the approval for paying a lil extra for the troubles ;)

  • Will build my own PC (with the same hardware) be cheaper or more expensive compared with Siren Vortex Essential GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming PC? Thanks

    • Note I used a different CPU, as the 13400F wasn't on PCPartPicker. The BPC Tech one on their site is $359 (so CPU I used is $10 less).

This doesn't include labour. Also you'll need to pay delivery with the built PC. But doesn't change the outcome much, it is cheaper to buy the base PC based on the below, than build it yourself.

      PCPartPicker Part List: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/m7X778

      CPU: Intel Core i5-12600 3.3 GHz 6-Core Processor ($349.00 @ Computer Alliance)

      Memory: Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL17 Memory ($89.00 @ MSY Technology)

Video Card: MSI VENTUS 3X OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB Video Card ($1457.50 @ Newegg Australia)
Case: MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($95.00 @ BPC Technology)
Power Supply: Gigabyte UD750GM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.00 @ BPC Technology)
      Total: $2535.50
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
      Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-01-06 17:51 AEDT+1100

If you swapped in a 7900 XT, it would cost about $90-100 more bottom models, BPC has it a 7900 XT as a $99 upgrade/option.

      • -1

7900xt uses more power with no dlss3 and worse RT. It only outperforms the 4070ti in a couple of games. Very poor option and more expensive

        • I'm not sure saying this 3 times is enough in this deal lol. One more for luck? Also what does this even have to do with my comment?

  • I like the 13th gen i5 but don't want a 1500$ gfx card. I don't mind the build. Can I have this with an 3070 or 3070ti or 3060ti to and save $1000? @bpctech.com.au

  • For those of you who are in the troll train saying the 4070ti is a bad card.—->

The 4070ti is close to the performance of the 3090ti. With newer gen rt cores and dlss3 for less the half MSRP of the 13month old NVIDIA 30flagship.

    • +5

They're not mad at the card. It's a slightly overpriced card but still very good. They're mad that nobody is making a value play in the GPU market and they express their frustration poorly.

      • Exactly.

    • I've not bought into the hate, I got this deal along with as much of the upgrades as I need because I'm going from a 970 to a 4070TI that's big enough for me.

  • Does one need the upgraded cooler?

  • i bought one, upgraded the ram to 32GB but changed nothing else.
storage is not enough, i am going to buy some more myself, no need to buy it from this store.
the MB supports 3 M.2 slots, so it is easy to add 2 more onto it.
thought several times and finally chose not to upgrade the cpu to i7 13700f as usually normal gaming doesn't need that an expensive cpu. if using this computer for media creation, it is far from powerful enough.

    • No PSU upgrade? But their 2TB SSD M.2 is pretty cheap at $179 extra. Next cheapest I can find is $199 not including delivery.

      • The bit I find odd, is the part is only $150 more expensive on their website, I don't get where the bonus $30 comes from?

      • Out of interest, why bother with a PSU upgrade?

        • For oc, or sli/cf and future upgrades.

  • +1

    I upgrade -

    ram to 32g (3600mhz)
    extra storage 2TB nvme drive
    1000w PSU
added windows 11. (couldnt be assed buying a cheap copy, rather it be ready and installed without issue, during stress test).

Also didnt worry about the i7 upgrade and will be gaming on a LG 32'' UltraGear QHD 165Hz Nano IPS G-Sync Monitor

i saw a few reviews about bottlenecking with the 4000 series and i dont think the i5 will bottle neck as much as everyone is

worried about, the techfast deal was no where close to this deal.

BPC did a great job with this one.

    • Why 1000w PSU?

      • 75 buck extra was worth the future proof. 4090 draws 450 watts just in case i decide in a year or two too upgrade.

        • I'm interested in why you'd choose that over cooling… (like honestly interested, I know people don't like stock coolers).

          • @cc23: below surface games room, ac set to 18 degrees, solid concrete, room temp is always very cool regardless and being an i5 i truly have no need at all to go hard with closed looped cooling, plus not a fan of O/C.

  • Can this build go into the NZXT H510 Flow Mid-Tower ATX White Case instead? If so, how much extra would it be?

  • +2

If only this deal came around Xmas or boxing day I would have got it.

I ended up getting a PS5 because no good deals.

But I saved $1340 as the result

    • -1

Actually $1455.40 from Big W deal
