For 500 you can get a mini itx n100 (~20% faster+less wattage) mobo+case with 150-200 left over.

Do your servers even benefit from a faster spec of ram or just wanted for capacity? I have a hard time seeing them running at rated speeds…

HDD pricing never followed moores law, that's related to chips.
