interested to understand why this comment got negged

      • +6

Didn’t neg, but suspect those that did, did so since you can’t get these for anywhere near a dollar each on eBay…

      • +9

Well, it's a throwaway comment without a link to said product for a dollar.

That's because there is no listing on Ebay for the same product at a dollar each.

      • +5

If you can find them in ebay they must be fake ones….

    • +2

For generics yes <$1, but I'm not sure if they will last long.

    • Hrm fair point, I never really consider to check ebay. No idea how the generics compare in quality though.

      • -2

They will void your toothbrush warranty and may also damage your teeth

        • actually I have tried some. They're ok but don't last long so really….for a few dollars each I might just grab the ones you posted

          thx

        • Lol at damaging your teeth.

      • +4

I got some generic brand once. Pinched my lip, never again.

        • +4

Same here, bought a bunch of generic ones and so far they are lasting quite well.
Also pinched my lips from the rotating head and bled since the rotating head for generics are more loose as compared to the original one and i don't think there's any way to fix this.

I just have to be extra careful not to get pinched every time I brush since I still have to use up a lot of the generic heads I bought. :|

Good enough. No problems with them. Been using the ebay ones for 10 years plus.

Thanks for the heads up OP. I ended up buying the variety 4 pack which works out cheaper at $3.53 per brush

    • Legend thanks bought this too

    • Yeah in retrospect I should have checked out more deals, just bought the 40% off one then started to notice the others.

    • +1

Bought the variety pack. Thanks OP and @tomclancy.

    • Hmm it's now 15.69.. so almost 4 bucks each. Did i miss out?

      • +3

        $14.12 with subscribe & save 😁

      • +3

Subscribe and save 10% brings it down to $3.53 each.

    • It might sound stupid but are you supposed to use these heads simultaneously or one by one?

Also, if you opt for subscribe and save with Amazon can you change/cancel it after first purchase?

      • +3

Use one head at a time. Possibly choose the one you think you need best. Personally, I think they’ll all just gimmicks, to create interest.
        Cancel any time you like.

I started out using Precision Clean brush, then moved on to Cross Action and I haven't look back.

    • I agree. The Cross Action heads are much better.

Just make be your gums - had to swap to the sensitive ones after a while because of gum recession

Any extra soft options for this?

I got one of those on clearance from the last time they had them for $24.95. Keep an eye out for marked down stock a few weeks after the promo.

  • Check eBay as well, got a 5 pack for $19 - $5 eBay plus discount so $14

    • +3

Just be careful with eBay for the good old genuine stock being sold as real but could be a knock off. If buying from eBay try buying from a big retailer like chemist warehouse or authorised dealers to help guarantee genuine stock. You never would think people would copy oral b tooth brush heads but if there's money to be made there will always be knockoffs. Just be careful as the copies could pose a safety risk. Not to say it will happen sometimes its just good to be aware.

  • Are the precision clean heads much different to the extra soft?

  • How often do you guys change your brush heads? I find that within a few weeks of use, mine develop black crud in the small crevices.

It does come off by running it under water or "brushing the brush" but wondering if there's a better way?

    • +4

Once every ~2 months give or take?

The black crud doesn't develop for me but I rinse mine after each use

    • You’re supposed to brush your teeth more than twice a week. :)

      • +2

I’ve saved hundreds of dollars in the last 30 years, by removing all my teeth!

        • Hope you enjoy eating soup

  • +1

Be careful. Last time I bought 8 pack, a 6 pack arrived. I only randomly noticed (who checks??) When putting away.

  • -1

How do ebay knockoffs compare to genuine? are they actually a safety concern as mentioned

    • -2

Why don’t you get the knockoffs and the real mccoy and let us all know

  • Mine seem like knock offs? Can’t be sure but something seems a little off. Sold by ecomm discount. Usually I check to ensure it’s Amazon as the seller. Anyway, I’ll use them and report back if my teeth fall out
