Cuckoo is sold out

Its still there

My bad

Yeah come on rice experts help us decide quickly please. I am leaning towards the Cuckoo..

I got the breville. $60 is very different to $120

I want something that's going to last and give me better rice than my current $40 Brevill brc200 (round style with glass lid). Always wanted a Tiger but can't bring myself to spend that much.

@teacherer: The rice always sticks to the bottom and it's not consistent, you get some crunchy and underdone rice. I read these higher end cookers do a much better job at making fluffy perfect rice.

@nubzy: Fair enough.
I found that rinsing the rice thoroughly first until the water ran clear usually helped with the consistency. If you haven't tried that, give it a go.

@teacherer: Yeah I always rinse until clear. Might just stick with it for now. This one probably wouldn't be much of an improvement.

@nubzy: I used to own one with the glass lid. horrible design flaw.

When searching for a Rice Cooker the cheaper Tefal had reviews showing long rice cooking times and the Breville as good but some fragile failure points.
The Cuckoo has been rocking along without issue with no known flaws.

This or the Kmart $40 rice cooker?

This

This is out of stock. Try adding to cart.

I have had this one and it's excellent. Is the Breville Smart version with a ceramic coated bowl better?

Doesn't post to me in south East Queensland. Ridiculous

I was about to buy it but someone beat me to it. Oh well.

I have this, like it but no rice expert haha.

Uncle Roger approves.

Too big.
I just want something that i can cook 1-3 cups of rice in nicely that dowsnt take up too much space in the cupboard and isnt a pita to clean

According to Choice, one of the only negatives of this machine is "Relatively longer cooking times". For jasmine (45 mins) and brown rice (75 mins). Dealbreaker for me

Does anyone know how the Breville Smart box compares?

This or the cuckoo?
