Use it as fish aquarium when it reaches use by date or spoilt. 😂😂
Rather boiling glass than boiling plastic. Though, glass requires handling with care.
But there is a ring of silicon seal down the bottom?
Also the bottom plate is stainless, but it's still better than all-plastic, and these are easier to know when they need cleaning.

Nice! Been looking for a new kettle. Currently using a Sunbeam KE7800, was a Big W special back in August 2011 (posted on OZB but can't find it, $54.86 delivered). It's still working well. Time for a new one.
Shame there is no temperature settings though

I owned one and had to return it because of the lid refusing to open constantly, especially once hot. It is poorly designed.
Better off with a glass K-Mart kettle. Better reviewed, and I haven't had issues with it.
I've got this kettle for over a year. Haven't had any issues. It looks cool I suppose being able to see the water boiling (and help ensure there's no other 'surprises' in there?) but otherwise it's nothing special. I do find the spout to be a little bit trickier to pour vs our other kettle though… but this is nitpicking as I've got no idea if it actually pours more or less water over the same time period as other kettles.
I boiled an egg in this and it was amazing
The girlfriend wasn't happy tho and demanded I never do it again 😂
Terrible kettle
Started leaking from the base in about 1.5 years. The switch also leaks / shows calcification. Friends had the same kettle, same issues. Difficult to clean as the lid doesn’t open wide enough to get in there.Big pass
be warned - these units have issues with the flip lid over time. Buy a kettle with removable lid and with regular maintenance should last 10yrs+

Nothing . Emailed they suggested refund or wait till mid February (arrival of new stock but I think they just full of BS . Anyway I'll keep waiting and see.
