[NSW] Rewyre Magsafe Compatible 5-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand $74.99 @ Costco, Auburn (Membership Required)

30

Grab one at Costco Auburn. Great alternative to the Belkin with a few added benefit which I needed such as the ability to rotate to landscape mode. Good for before bed Netflix watching.

Also has a built in light and USB out for any additional charging requirement.

Only issue is the annoying status light. Need to block it out with some sticky tapes.

Also appears to be from catch for those without Costco https://www.catch.com.au/product/rewyre-5in1-magnetic-fast-w…

Price varies between colours, black is a bit dearer

But the Belkin lets you have the phone in landscape
Also belkin is "made for Magsafe" rather than "Magsafe compatible"
    Difference from belkins website
"Our accessories that are built “with MagSafe” have the official MagSafe technology from Apple inside them. Such products will be marked with a “Made for MagSafe” badge, which means they have been developed and rigorously tested to MFi guidelines and optimized for iPhone 12, and wireless chargers with MagSafe can charge faster at up to 15W.

Our other magnetic accessories that are “MagSafe compatible” meet industry standards and still provide the convenience and precision of snap-on attachment with a magnetic ring, but don’t have the official MagSafe technology inside, so wireless chargers will only charge at 7.5W. These products are held to our highest standards and designed with consumer in mind completely safe to use with your iPhone 12 models."

    • What wattage does the Belkin actually charge at, other than the advertised?

      • Im not sure how to check that honestly. I tried looking for info but couldnt find any

  • Is there not an issue with all these types with the magnet not being strong enough to hold Pro Max size phones without them slipping off?

Any actual experience recommendations for a 3-in-1 with full Apple phone (Pro Max)/watch/airpod charging compatibility?

The belkin 3 in 1 is great i use the airpod charger for my galaxy fold though.

    • The magnets are strong on these. No issues holding up my Pro Max

    • I use the Journey 3 in 1 (the older one, not the new one with removable apple watch charger) which is pretty good. Also from Costco at $99.95 which was about $50 under retail at the time. I've found it ok overall, but it doesn't like some of the watch bands as it sits up from the charge point.

  • These charge very slow. I learnt the annoying way that "Magsafe" doesn't mean 15w. Also Apple watch ultra charges very slow on it too. If you're an overnight charger is fine as long as not Pro Max user as I found some mornings putting it on charge overnight it wasn't fully charged next day.

AFAIK you need above 20W charger bricks for three devices to charge at maximum rate, I think even with the Belkin ones the maximum is capped to 15W, so 7.5W max for iPhone, 5W for Airpods, 3W? for watches.

      • The newest belkin one should be able to charge watch and iphone at full magsafe speeds:

        https://www.macrumors.com/review/belkin-3-in-1-apple-watch-s…

"It's worth noting that Belkin includes a 40W power adapter with the Boost Charge Pro, which is enough power to charge all of your devices at the top speeds. "
