From previous deals. Seems Seagate and Western Digital 7200rpm drives are used in these enclosures.

im glad to see these keep on getting cheaper :)

  • Out-of-Stock… :-(

  • Excellent deal, but nearest Bing Lee if far too far away for a drive to find out. Might ring them…

"Seems Seagate and Western Digital 7200rpm drives are used in these enclosures."

That's no surprise seeing as they are the only two remaining manufacturers. I still have yet to figure out why they keep putting in 7200rpm drives into these though. Surely 5400rpm would be almost as fast and generate less heat. Perhaps cost price to producers ends up the same as 5400rpm and the disparity only comes in at retail?

  • .

    • saw that but thought I'd repost again since the last few posts says that the price was now $179. And No expiry date on that one was posted.

  • I rang them. They're all out of stock and "at this stage we're not getting any more". The implication was that they haven't had any for several weeks.

Vote revoked, this is just a dupe of the expired deal from a few weeks ago.

anyone in Melbourne interested? I have one for sale at $150 + $5 (to share my postage),

  • This deal expired weeks ago.
Should be deleted as there is no stock online or in store.

  • They could be making money selling these to customers instead they're just playing games. Oh well… good luck to them.

"What do I do if my item has been damaged in Transit?

As none of the courier options are insured by default, Bing Lee offer's you the choice to insure your new purchase to ensure a hassle free claim's process in the event of a damaged shipment."

    "About the Insurance Option

Nice way of covering their own asses.
