  I had one of these and I would not recommend. It does not last very long - the rope snapped at the point where it entered the handle. The rope basically needs to bend 90 degrees at the handle

    I have been using one of these for 2 months with no issues.
    The rope is intact just fine, it's a steel cable with plastic coating - very hard to snap that.
    There is a locking mechanism in the handle to prevent the rope from coming free, make sure it's clicked in.

      2 months is a short testing time. Not sure how much you use. I do 1000 skips a day and the skipping rope did not last 6 months.

  There is a warranty on all items purchased, so on the off chance your rope does have a manufacturing defect, you can contact us for a replacement.
