This card is not for everyone but with 325,000 Bonus Points seems like a good deal.

The bonus points are so random on the website. It showed 325,000 for me when I first visited it, refreshed the page showed 275,000, refreshed again showed 150,000 and stayed at 150,000. Changed browser, showed 325,000 again. Here's a screenshot https://imgur.com/a/zs7NJIQ

        Worked for me on the third attempt. First two were on incognito mode on the phone using the referral link generator. The third successful attempt was on desktop (also clicking the referral link generator)

            @hawkeye93: Just checked - no email, however I got a SMS that said congrats, it's approved and will be delivered within 7 business days.

            Hopefully, the email comes soon, I'm not worried about it, but obviously receiving an email would be ideal

    Called up amex to request a second card for my family member. They informed they believe the 325k offer is no longer available. Don’t know how reliable the man was on the phone but just a heads up for anyone trying to get the deal

    Looked into Refer a friend from Amex :
    Cap Referrals: You may only send referral messages to a maximum of 20 friends and the amount of Membership Rewards Points you may receive under the ‘Refer a Friend’ program is capped at 200,000 points per year.

    I assume that after 20 ppl used OPs link everyone will only see 200k since 325k is for referred people. I used a random link and got 325k just then

          Yeah, back then Amex considered Charge cards in different category from Credit cards, so one could get bonus points applying for the Plat Charge while having other Amex credit cards. Not the case anymore.

            @gotcha: Indeed Amex was exclusively a charge card, followed by a line-of-credit and then the credit cards. It used to be that your membership was centred around the charge card and I received a few rounds of retention bonuses before finally cancelling my green charge card thereby no longer incurring the membership fee. I now have two Amex credit cards.

    In Melbourne/Sydney there's no lounge if flying Qantas domestically… Only Virgin and Rex…

    Virgin does state you need to hold a valid Virgin boarding pass but Rex doesn't say anything… Except it's a hefty walk from one end to the other lol

        My one time in one was in London and was offered a shower.. so I'm like sure why not.. lol

        But it was early morning and they didn't have alcohol happening yet

        Can't remember bout the food.. but from memory wasn't much because we were on like first flight or something

        Alcohol is typically the better part of the lounge compared to the food. Still varies though. If you like beer prepare to be disappointed.

        Best part about good domestic lounges in Australia is barista coffee.

        I was in the Brisbane international lounge recently and to say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement.

        A couple of years ago I got an op up into business class with Singapore. Now that was a real business lounge! Top notch food.

    still works, but has to be through the referral link above. you might have to try multiple times in incognito mode and use different browsers (safari, chrome, firefox, etc).

    only takes 2/3 minutes to fill in the application and receive instant approval. very easy.

    I finally got there with 325K points after trying for 30 min yesterday. What I did was VPN (Nord) to Melb, and then right clicked the referral link above multiple times in Incognito windows, opening about 10 tabs at a time. Close tabs, rinse and repeat. Got there after about 40 closed tabs. Good luck all!

    Here's what I did as I'd basically given up using my own referral link (not suggesting this sequence is what made it work, but there may be a pattern here):
    1. Got it the first time last week, but after closing tab could not get it back.
    2. Hacked around with VPN, different browsers, private / not private browsing. Nothing.
    3. Gave up, hated myself and wallowed in self pity for the week.
    4. Tried again today with a VPN to ADL, with a quick hack to hammer out 100 tabs. All 200k.
    5. Asked a few of my team across APAC to try the link in 2 browsers - all 200k.
    6. Tried with a VPN to MEL, again with a quick hack to hammer out 100 tabs. The first tab had 325k. Applied and approved.

    Based in Melbourne. Time was around 11:30. Good luck.
