    The $99 fee is the "sucker" fee.

    There are about 15 different codes online that you can use to avoid paying joining fee, and when you join via Everyday Rewards it's also free.

    Will it cost me anything to join Qantas Frequent Flyer if I’m not a member?

    You can join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program without paying the usual joining fee when you join through Everyday Rewards.

    They never charged, this is a fee that they pass off as a kind gesture when waived (99.99% of people).

    Trying to book a hotel at Qantas and prices after using point $700 but without using point price is $800 so basically getting $100 for 44000 point….what a rip-off…!

    If they can quickly get another 6 million members, then they can claim "only" 50% of members got hacked - much better than the current 100%.
