They cut a deal with Albo to refuse additional flights for Qatar ensuring Qantas can keep their prices higher for people wanting to fly to Europe which is a very profitable part of Qantas's business.
Plus Albo's son 'earned' a Chairman's Lounge membership.
Wouldn't surprise if that was the main reason that Albo refused Qatar's request…

5000 bonus points on first qantas wines order over $99. Thats what originally brought me to qantas wines… range wasnt very big though.
Was also trying to find confirmation whether i could pay with points and still get the bonus points (as i dont really want to give money to qantas), but feel like this isnt possible
