        already did in other thread

email [email protected] and say you're a loyal customer and have N Samsung products, say you're looking to buy a TV or soundbar and ask for discount. they will give you a unique voucher

          Much appreciated!

          • @staz: How much discount do they give? Is it same for all requests? Thanks

            • +1

              @sqheaven: usually it's 15% off

sometimes can be more for select models. e.g. during black Friday Frame TVs had 30% off, while other models were 15

    • Looks like no stock

      • that buckled fast. I almost ordered one, too

        • after some research 700 is oos.
600 sound unit is a bit cheap one

  • +1

    Good prices

  • +2

it says 60% off rrp but the price does not reflect that.

    • +1

For that typo in the title I think Q600A had a launch RRP of $799

    • up to idi

  • +2

Not bad, can get the Q600 down to $272 with the newsletter code

    Q700 OOS :( Is Q600 any good or Q870?

    • +2

q700 is same unit as 800

      q600 sound is cheap

  • Would like to hear about Q870 vs Q950 if any one owns

    • +1

      of course q950

    • I have a Q930 if that helps?
It's okay - certainly wouldn't pay RRP for it though

  • Is $839.60 a good price for HW-Q950A 11.1.4ch Home Theatre Soundbar? Any feedback on the soundbar? Thanks

  • +2

Whats the main difference between 600a vs 700a?

  • +1

Cheers got a 950 for me and 600 for in-laws also used 15% code from support

    • Can you please share how did you get 15% code?

      • +1

You can contact samsung chat support and request for a loyalty code

I personally find the extra centre chanel to be mandatory. I have trouble hearing dialogue when there is ambient noise so I bump up the centre channel volume by 4 or 5 Dbs.

I don't have a sound bar but am amplifier I purchased several years ago (an ozBargain highlighted deal), an affordable 2.1 set of "bookshelf"speakers, and an extra centre speaker. I am quiet happy with the layout and can cope without rear or overhead speakers.

    • I agree, I have a really hard time understanding dialogue through TV speakers.

  • Can anyone share a loyalty discount? I asked and chat said you need a Samsung TV or sound bar, and all I've got is a washing machine.

  • Wish this sale included SWA-9500S to add to my S800B setup

For those wondering how to get loyality discount ?

Basically use the pop up chat window and speak to an agent. Tell them what samsung product you use and then send a photo of the serial number or reciept. They will generate a code for you in two minutes. 15% discount not bad.

    • Thanks for the info. I tried it and the agent i got mentioned that its only for 2022 models. Which doesn't make sense to me as the above models are not 2022 models.

Finally got it working with another agent !

Got the 950 model for $713 + cashrewards so works out to be closer to $695.

        • What happens if u dont have a samsung tv.. i said i had a mobile but they said only a TV.

        • Hopefully cash rewards is honoured for you. Code normally makes it invalid, still worth a try though!

My agent was Jaime, he did in 5 mins no problems at all.

        • That is a stellar price. A colleague paid twice as much for theirs when it first came out and the performance is a ripper - they go to the movies less except for the blockbusters and stay at home with the popcorn and save travelling time.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, snagged a HW-Q950A for $713.66 :-)

    • 2.8% cashrewards?

      • “Cashback is ineligible on use of codes not listed on Cashrewards”

        • +1

The discount doesn't show on my tax invoice, just says price paid = $X. Already received an email from CR that purchase was tracked, so I have good hopes it goes through.

        • +1

          Cashback has been processed now!

Just wanna remind you that Q600A doesn't support eARC. Also no HDMI 2.1 passthrough. You'll need Q700A and up for eARC and HDMI 2.1 support in general.

I'm using this exact model with a Hisense TV. The delay is significant unless TV set to passthrough audio directly via HDMI ARC. After passthrough the delay is gone. However most TV uses one of the HDMI 2.1 port for ARC/eARC, and optical connection won't allow Dolby Atmos or DTS-X, so you essentially lose one good port on the TV if using any soundbar. That can be a problem if you own more than 1 devices with HDMI 2.1 capabilities.

  • I've got an (approx 10 year old) HT-F5550W Samsung DVD 5.1 home theatre system, but don't use the DVD player these days, just the speakers. Is it worthwhile upgrading to a newer soundbar? (ie, is the quality of sound better through a soundbar compared to a 5.1?)

    • Unless you want Atmos(not much real Atmos support and what has isnt always great) or less clutter of using only a soundbar and rear bookshelves I wouldn't bother.

I did similar when upgrading to q950a and the sound and soundstage at times was better was when using previous Samsung HTIB system.

wanted to grab a Q700A last night, but had issues with checkout. Adyen fail

this morning too (paying with card)

finally put order through for Q900A as I don't want rear speakers and everything else worth getting is OOS

    • why wouldnt you want rears mate

      • +5

just hard to find where da hell to put them and how to power them without turning the living room into a mess

      • There may be an option for front placement possibly.

  • Q900a out of stock? :(
