Looking for a game storage drive in a pc, is this that drive?

TBW is 480. You get a lot more TBW with Silicon Power 2TB stuff on Amazon.

    • Thats low for a 2tb card. The cs2140 2tb is 1200 tbw.
Agreed its too low for that type of card maybe just spend the extra $18 and get a cs2140

I have had my 980 pro 2TB for 19 months now and I have a total of 21.2TBW. The drive has been used as a boot drive and is the only drive in my PC. I used the PC daily, have reinstalled windows at least a few times and install / uninstall games regularly. Even someone who uses one of these drives far FAR more than the average person is extremely unlikely to wear a drive out due to TBW.

Full disclosure tho… Despite the very low TBW of my drive, it just failed last week and i am currently in the process of organising an RMA through samsung (Fingers crossed). Samsung drives are supposedly up there in performance, quality, warranty etc, but even they can fail premeturely. No idea how PNY, Silicon Power and the rest of the cheaper brands (especially DRAMless drives) will go.

  • Postage cost is high for something that's under 500 grams.

    • What are they packing it in?

      • I'm not sure, I would think a little box, maybe 300gs or so
