Best Parking Area in Eastwood [NSW] on Weekend

I have family CNY lunch this weekend at Eastwood [NSW]. Now, from my understanding, finding parking in Eastwood on weekend, is more difficult than finding toilet paper rolls during lockdown.

I remember I used to park at Glen Street Carpark, but I don't remember ever having an easy experience getting parking spot there during the weekend - it is a battleground.

Does anyone know any secret parking area around Eastwood? I am keen to know the Secret parking area on Rowe St area. Please share some of your secrets!!

      Is OP feely lucky, punk?

Might be some parking at the corner of Smith & Wesson

    • In the 80s, there was a variety shop in Eastwood named "Clint's". Now I get it.

Problem is that it won't be so secret anymore. LOL

    • OzBargained!

    • If you are willing to walk past the football field there are plenty of parking along Railway Ave during weekends.

On East Parade (Around Second and Third Ave) the commuter parking is usually not too bad on the weekend, although I would expect for CNY it could still fill up relatively early.

I think I know this one. You park in the back of the Fire Station and they cut up your car for practice. :)

    • and then set fire to it, but at least they put it out for you. I've seen it happen!

I normally just park in that car park, it does get busy but people just sit there with their indicator on.

When you turn onto Trelawney St from Rutledge St there’s a parking lot up a ramp on the right but I’ve never parked there.

If it’s really busy I normally just find street parking somewhere.

  • what time is your lunch, OP?

  • street parking in eastwood is alot harder now with sensors on the floor that alert rangers of your parking.

    • wow really?? Were these installed just recently?

      • i think so…

there is a little metal plate on the curb,,. and they are numbered..

saw it on a tic tok video.. as well..

i cant seem to find anything on google.. let me link up a video some how

        link in ground sensors

        • Wow… It was already bad but now it's getting even harder then.

Wouldn't that make it easier because people are moving their cars within the allotted time per the spot?

      • yeah… easier to park, but also easier to get a fine also

i was there a couple of weeks ago, i wanted to over stay the parking to see how long it took to notify and have a ranger turn up at the car, but unfortunately i had to leave.,

  • Whereabouts is lunch?

There's some parking on Hillview Road that I often try. I refuse to go into the big car park.

There's also parking at the shopping centre where the woollies is. Be warned that it is a bit tight and is where this happened. https://goo.gl/maps/nVYKdjpUUDeNMrgu5

    • one of the resto in Rowe Street, I think its Peking Eastwood something.

There's some parking on Hillview Road that I often try

thanks, I will give a try

There's also parking at the shopping centre where the woollies is

Yeah I know this one, like you said it is a bit tight so I tend to avoid it

  • Can't catch the train there?

    • nope, living somewhere too far away from train lol

Drive to and park near train station?

  • +1

Drive to Denistone or West Ryde right off Victoria Road, park there, catch the train 1 or 2 stops to Eastwood.

  • Aldi Eastwood, just chug the fine if you do get one. works for meesa!

  • Eastwood Ravine

  • Just park along where St Kevin's is or just park it elsewhere and train it there?

The rangers there are quite ruthless lel.

  • I usually try the smaller council carpark in Hillview Lane first, but if it's closer to dinner time then there isn't much there either. Your best chance might be to try to get in earlier if possible. Eastwood has all the good food, just the parking puts me off going!

    Park at 6am.

  • I use to park at one of the nearby train stations then catch a train to Eastwood. Wouldn't have to worry about parking or the consistent thick wall of traffic that surrounds Eastwood.

Depending on which direction you are coming from, parking near Denistone/West Ryde or Cheltenham/Beecroft.

If thats an option your not wanting to consider, then parking anywhere north of Eastwood Park also works. But CNY your going to be looking further away and walking longer.

I know that some people use to park in the Public School on Rowe Street, but that might be a bit of a gamble.

Why don't you just car pool with the fam? Or ask the restaurant where is the best parking spot?
