    I'm using a Kogan one as I type probably had it for 2 years. it hasn't been a problem but I could never get it completely flat even with leaving books on it never fixed it

    No, it's natural rubber, just the edges have stitching to hold the RGB tubing around the outside of the mousepad

    i used to think so too. but then i injured my wrist and hard surfaces suddenly weren't so nice to rest on for hours a day. got a steel series qck heavy which is 6mm thick (non-rgb) and wondered how i ever lived without one.
