I have the iPhone version when it was free last time.

I use the LAN scan feature a lot to found out what devices are connected to the same (subnet) network. You can even do a port scan and see what port they are open.
Very practical for a non-JB iDevice. Must download.

This app comes in handy every now and again. Unless you were a professional ALL the time it's hard to see that it could be worth $10 - can't complain for free though!

  • good app on iphone

  • I also got the iPhone version last time, may as well d/l it even though I don't have an iPad yet & I've barely used the iPhone app :P

Not worth paying $10 for though, maybe $5

  • i got this app last time it was free, i had no idea what it does and i just deleted. but hey its free, even if i dunno what it does :)

Just share a few non-IT professional usage for this app.

      1) You are at your friend's home which is running DHCP and you just want to know the ip address of it gateway/ printer / NAS devices without asking.

      2) See how many people are connect and using the hotspot when you are sitting in the cafe, bored.

      3) Quick check any unauthorise device is connected and stealing your WIFI.

  • just tried it - AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • I was just wondering what do you do with open ports, I know it's usually how hackers get into computers but how do they use open ports?

  • in a nutshell for anything to connect to your computer it needs a ip address and a port to use. So if you have open ports they can use it to try escalation attacks or anything realy.
