        Yes amended my comment after seeing the conditions. The way they charge RRP 2 games and a controller would easily get you there. If consumers buy a console from other retailers, shelf price likely negates the value of the voucher…so not really of any benefit going with Sony.

      Probably, it is a two year old $800 console and surely most people who desperately wanted one have one by now.

      If you watched the latest Playstation Direct it's pretty clear that Sony is almost done with the PS4 though, from here out the PS5 is going to be their main focus for new games.

      It doesn't explicitly say the PS5 has to be purchased direct through Sony Store. But somehow I doubt they would honour the voucher if you showed your receipt and purchased from Catch or BigW.

      Any thoughts people?

      Speculation a slim Digital only console with the option of an attachable external 4K disc drive is releasing end of the year.

      Even if ps5 slim is announced this year, it could take years before people can buy one let alone if there was stock. Meanwhile there aren’t many ps5 game at all that push the console.

      PS5 Slim, maybe. But I'm willing to bet my life savings that PS5 Pro and Switch 2 will not be released this year. I imagine we'll have some sort of indicator about their release by the end of the year though.

    i genuinely did not think i'd see discounted PS5s untime midlife cycle.. like 4+ years.

    The last 2 years of high price BS on everything has almost conditioned me!

    So glad to see this and more people can enjoy the awesome console, albeit a big of a crappy discount method.

    Not sure it's that much of a deal this is if it's going to cost at least $1050 to get a $100 voucher. This is a great deal for Sony only as they'll get three purchases out of you.
