[PC, Steam] Superfuse - Free Playtest (Loot ARPG like Torchlight) @ Steam

850

(My first post so please be merciful) I have been looking forward to this game for a while and saw that there was an option to request playtest access until launch on Feb 1st. I was accepted instantly so I thought that others might be interested to give the game a try too. I just played it a bit and it's pretty fun (especially using fuses to completely change the skills), it has a lot of potential to be a great arpg.

From the store page:
"Superfuse is a hack-and-slash, Action RPG with the ability to hyper-tailor your hero based on your unique playstyle. Pick and fuse the skill sets of your choice, and demolish hordes of grotesque abominations alone or with up to 3 friends as you uncover the secrets of the Corruption and the Gods.

When humanity needs hope, be the hero!"

Thanks for the heads up. Downloading now.

No support for steam deck on this game atm - for all my steam deck homies out there

  • Dev is live streaming right now.

    Thanks. Downloaded on steam deck
Unable to use controls and needed to use joystick as a mouse, not great
Unable to get game to lock 30FPS on Med settings. Game doesn't look graphically taxing so maybe something else going on here.

Probably the fact that the game doesn't support Steam Deck.

Seems alright but no local server sucks. Can change region if you create game but no Oceanic.

    • What ping do you get on the closest server?

      • The best ping seems to be US West because that is what it keeps putting me in. Can't tell you ping as there is no way to see in game apart from the server browser but there are no US West games running right now. Can definitely feel/see the delay though unfortunately

          We can assume 220ms.

If you are interested you can see your ping in "Resource Monitor" in windows, in the network tab.

          • @samfisher5986: Did some testing on my Superloop connection

Asia Pacific South East (Singapore) - IP address: 34.87.20.228
            95ms

US West - IP address: 162.245.204.230
            170ms

So depends if your RSP has good connections to South East Asia, most of the big RSPs do.

        • lets hope theres a pet or minion class. im not playing this while being (profanity)

          • @philmarcracken: You're still alive phil

Check out Chronicon. Great arpg if you can get past the pixel style graphics. It's amazing.

        will do, cheers

        • Pretty good for being developed by one person. Puts a lot of other arpg to shame IMO as far as build and item diversity goes.

  • This game is not yet available on Steam
Planned Release Date: 31 Jan, 2023
This game plans to unlock in approximately 4 days

    wow it's… slow.

is this really about to release?

    • No. Early access launches at end of month, not full release.

Not too shabby, fun arpg, but the servers are obviously not in Australia, as such inventory management is a laggy mess. (Items stick to your cursor when you sell them, items stick to your cursor a bit after you move and drag them.)

The gameplay itself seems to benefit from client side prediction but I haven't tried multiplayer yet.

There's also a load of bugs that need ironing out, and they don't have any feedback or report bug button to share that information with them.

There's also a lot of weird QoL mishaps, such as items that should stack not stacking when you pick them up, which may or may not also be bugs.

there's way more than that. sorry to say it but if your diablo clone lacks qol features that diablo II had over 20 years ago… you've got problems

      • There is quite a few bugs, yeah. However from what I have gathered from youtube videos this seems to be the same beta test they had last year put out to test the servers before launch, so it should be a fair bit more developed upon release. At least, it seems like it would be, but time will tell. Either way I've played for almost five hours now and have enjoyed it despite the bugs (fire elementalist is a fun class with highly upgraded homing fireballs).

  • free beta test

It's a double-edged sword. Sure, the devs get free feedback but if they release something trash, word will spread and they'll lose out on future sales.

It was OK. Don't do what I did and ignore fusing until half way through.. you end up face-tanking the enemy bullets whilst running around and doing next to no damage.
